The verse you refer to is found in Psalm 37:4. However when seeking your desires, it is also important to seek God's will as well. 1 John 5:14-15. James 4:2-3. The first part of Psalm 37:4 says to "delight thyself in the Lord" meaning if you do this, you will seek the things that the Lord desires. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with wanting to meet Jeter and Rivera (I love the Yankees!). Just be careful that you don't become discouraged should that part of your desire not be fulfilled. Focus more on finishing college and your grades, and who knows? You might just have the opportunity to meet your favorite players and others as well.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall make straight your path. Psalm 37.
Usually, when you delight yourself in the Lord, your desires will eventually line up with His plans for you. I've found it interesting that when I did delight myself in Him, the things I used to desire are no longer important. Some desires remained with me, so sometimes it's all about timing.

Hmm.
for the wicked:
Psalm 10:3
For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
for the righteous:
Psalm 21:2
Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips.

The first part of that is delight yourself in the Lord....Spend some time doing His will and then see if your desires change.

He will give you the desires of your heart but only if it is in line with his plan for you and there is something you have to do first.......Delight yourself in God.
Psa 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Notice that it does not say to delight yourself in music or television or movies or drink or drugs.

I can't find it! It's driving me crazy! I was thinking it was in the book of the Revelation to one of the churches. Something about return to the joys of your salvation and God will grant you the desires of your heart.

You don't need a God you just need to focus on your goals and take action toward achieving them!
A God is not going to bring you any of what you desire. You have to take action yourself to attain what you desire.

Actually the scripture reads, "delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."

I suggest you keep looking everyday. Don't ever stop reading. You may find that there is nothing on Earth more important than your Salvation. You are not there yet. Least you are aware of the fact that the answers you need are in the Bible.><>

(Ecclesiastes 6:2)
"I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on men: God gives a man wealth, possessions and honor, so that he lacks nothing his heart desires, but God does not enable him to enjoy them, and a stranger enjoys them instead."
God's only concern is that our will and desires mirror His will and desires.
