I agree with "Karma" and "Miranda". You haven't mentioned having a fever. Can I assume you don't have one?
Pain the first symptom of appendicitis - pain that often starts at the naval and moves to the lower, right abdomen although it can be difficult to pinpoint. The next symptom is loss of appetite followed by nausea and vomiting.
"Karma" is asking you about rebound pain. If the pain is in the lower, right abdomen, I want you to locate McBurney's point. Imagine a line between your naval and your right hipbone. Place your fingertips at your naval and go 2/3 of the way over to your hipbone and stop. Press down firmly. If you feel more pain, sharp pain when you quickly release, chances are it's your appendix and you don't have to wait until morning. Especially if you're experiencing the other symptoms as well, go to an ER tonight.
But if you have no other symptoms, assume that it's intestinal gas and deal with that for the time being.

Does it hurt badly when you walk? Does it hurt more after you let go from pressing there than actually pressing? Do you have a fever? If the answers are "yes" to 2 out of 3, then you may have appendicitis and may want to see a doctor soon. If the answers are no, then see a doctor only if the pain persists after a healthy bowel movement.

Here's a test.. push on your left side, just opposite from where it hurts, then release. Does that hurt?? If it does, then you should probably see a doctor. You can try taking pepto bismol and see if it helps. If the pain is still there later tonight, and you can't sleep, then go to the ER. If it goes away after a while, or you can sleep through it, but it's still there in the morning, then go see someone. If it gets any worse, you should probably see someone tonight.
