i recently bought a jvc surround sound system. i was listening to it on close to full volume and it turned off. it normally turns off if it gets too hot and its done that before. only this time when i reset it it didnt turn back on, and if you turn it on it clicks on and then clicks back off (this is all on the powered subwoffer) its kinda complicated, but someone might get the pic.

This is what happen to most amp, woofer and speakers if they been full blasting for long period at one go. In future its not adviseble to full blast amp or speakers it will results either one get burnt. In this cased your woofer got burnt. ( Anyway H/theater set is not meant for full blasting)Not much can be done now. If it could not be turned on now it has to be send for repair. But before that try to revive it by clicking many times on the on/off button until it turns on sometimes it works.

You have most likely square-waved the amp due to distortion and the protect circuit is preventing it from drawing too much current. If you just bought it (and you are lucky) you may be able to get it repaired under warranty. To expand on the above: You "square-wave" an amp when the speaker voice coil shorts (due to extreme distortion and over driving) and it sends DC back into the amp and something fries. Could be the amps outputs or the speaker coil. Try turning it on with out the speakers hooked up and see what happens. If it stays on, then it is just a process of elimination to find out which speaker is bad.

This may happen because of loose connection. Ur speaker may hav a burn from the inside. I prefer u should try to reconnect every part of it. If it does not help, then i say u take it to the vendor for technical help.

your first mistake was buying a JVC surround sound. i would of gone with onkyo in the economic brands.
