The more time you spend fellowshipping with other believers, being in God's word, prayer, the more the holy spirit will convict you of sin. We are each sinners, in different ways. Repent of sin means to turn away from it. I suggest that you seek to surround yourself with things of God. It's more important to follow His word...especially in these last days....than anything else, and I mean that in friendship.

All you really can do is pray to God about your problem. I can not judge you and won't. I might could show you in the Bible where God had Gays killed, it does speak in the good book that a man should not lay with a man and a women should not lay with a women. But then I am no saint. You seem to be already know so I won't tell you what you already know. Just pray to God. Through God nothing is impossible. Nothing. Talk to God about this and how you feel. Then try to change little by little till you are who God wants you to be. I will be doing the very same thing till I die. What is important is that you never stop asking for God's help on everything then, implement into your life as time by.Good Luck and God Bless You! And always remember that there is no one that knows your heart and your soul like Jesus knows you. So when it looks like no one is there for you and all hope is gone then look to the greatest man alive and that is Jesus. He lives so that you may change through him.

If you married a guy you would be for sure doing wrong. God made man and woman to be together, not man and man or woman and woman..You say you are a christian you may feel you are, I am not one to say you aren't, I don't see the heart, but I do know that being gay is against the Bible...and I would think you would have to make a choice, God and eteranl life or being gay and whatever...Hope you pick the right choice and good luck..You can also ask God to help you as well..God Bless

The bigotry and intolerance shown by some of the people here who supposedly have a religion that is based on love and tolerance is astounding.

Don't worry about a few ancient rules in Leviticus. It is just as big an abomination to eat shellfish as it is to be gay. Tell that to the next so-called Christians you see eating prawns or lobster. If they are wearing polyester cotton, that;s an abomination too. Straight to hell for the lot of them.

Being gay is who you are. Why should you be punished by anyone or anything for loving someone no matter what sex that person is? Tell the hypocrites where to go and be yourself. It is no-one's business but yours.

I'm sorry, but according to Scripture, you can't be a Christian and at the same time violate the biblical stand against homosexuality. You need to understand that you weren't born that way like some many people seem to think. What you are doing is a choice, and with God's help, you can find deliverance.

In the Garden of Eden God created man and from this man he created woman as a help mate or backbone I mean come on you say you are a christian so you know the way, you know what the bible says about it but its up to you to make a change We all make bad choices in life but because we serve a forgiving God he able to clean and renew you. No one here can help you you have to do it for yourself. Besides if you have questions about it then you knwo it is wrong repent and ask him to forgive you. You are not gay you are really confused go to the Lord in prayer and wait for an answer from him.

let me ask you this: why would God have created you the way he did if he did not want you to be this way? how could your God have made a mistake?
and if anyone says this is a choice that you failed, they do not know what they are talking about. you cannot "choose" to be gay or choose to be straight. it is part of who you are.
why would god have created you the way he did if he did not want people like you to exist. the words "abomination" with reference to god hold no meaning; they are inherently contradictive. they mean, essentially, a mistake of god. how could He, in all his glory, be capable of a mistake?

i hope i have given you a chance to believe in yourself, and to be at ease with your faith.

(Even though i am not christian myself)

EDIT: another thing to add, mostly to the other answers on this question: if he "chose" to be gay, did you "choose" to be straight? of course not. you just are the way you are. God made you that way. just because you are different from the norm does not mean you are evil or wrong.

just look at slavery. slavery was condoned by the majority for many centuries, but that didn't make it right.

God loves all of his creatures...gay, straight, bi or anything else.

God says to love one another even though that seems to be very difficult for most "Christians." Especially those "Christians" who like to play God and pass judgement on others.

We were all damned to hell the minute Eve ate that fruit. Just love God, trust that Christ is the Savior, understand that he made everyone different, try to live the best life you can, and God will make the decision on your judgement day. That's about all anyone can do.

We were all born with a conscience or as some have called it, "the light of Christ." This is from God and helps us to know right from wrong. As you obey this voice, you'll become better able to overcome the world and become more like God. Disobeying the voice will lead to unhappiness. Prayer, reading the scriptures, and doing your very best to do what you believe to be right is the answer. Best wishes.

First off, God doesn't hate gays. Those who say God hates this person or that person must not fully realize just how much God loves ALL of his children, including those who suffer with homosexual attractions. This is not to say that certain things, including homosexuality, can separate us from God. But the bottom line is, God loves you regardless of how much wrong you have done, and He awaits the day that you come back to Him, the one who has loved you all along. Homosexual attractions can be a very difficult cross for some to carry. There are gays who have led very homosexual lives for years who eventually came to know God's love and were able, through prayer and faith, to leave their old lifestyle, which was separating them from God, behind. This is not to say that these people were magically cured of their homosexual attractions (although anything through God is possible) but, they are able to better deal with their struggles and maintain a pure and chaste lifestyle. They will not marry, because God does not call 2 men nor 2 women to the alter in the sacrament of marriage. God gave us the gift of sexuality to be used for love and procreation between 2 loving adults (man and woman) within the sacrament of matrimony. However, he calls us all to the alter of his heart, no matter what "cross" we struggle with. It is possible for a person struggling with homosexual feelings to seek relief from God. God does not hate you, God cannot wait for the day that you surrender to Him and place all your troubles and worries with him. He will take care of you and take you in if you have decided to give up your old lifestyle behind, repent, and let God into your hearts. I am a Christian and belong to Catholicism--the church that so wrongly gets criticized as being hateful towards others. Quite the opposite is true-- my suggestion for you is that if you want to be a good Christian, then open your heart to God and pray to Him. Tell Him how you feel and tell Him you would like Him to guide you in the right way to lead you closer to Him. Let HIM in the driver's seat. You cannot love God while doing something that you know is wrong, but you can tell him your struggles and He will help you overcome them--He can do that for you. He loves you and cannot wait for the day that you come to Him, with your heart open to Him. Pray, repent and resolve to live a new life with Christ. He will do the rest.

As all sinners, homosexuals can be true Christians. As far as God views sin, homosexuality is no greater or lesser than other sins. All sin is objectionable to God. Since homosexuality is often practiced openly ("in your face"), the reaction by some who have wandered off the “love thy neighbor” reservation is over the top. It may also be the case that anyone that seems to revel in their sin seems defiant or disingenuous, if they are a self-professed Christian. I believe that the true Christian homosexual struggles daily with their sinful nature.

Happiness to Christians is more than the needs of the flesh. Continue to pray for strength to resist your urges and strive to be obedient to the scriptures.
