probably my grandfather.
Its strange but most people dont' get him. The automatically assume that he is a racist, sexist, atheist jerk. Even his own family thinks that. But he and I have always had a connection. We understand each other. Because we are practically one in the same. We are both the furthest thing from those labels as can be. Most people know that I'm not, because I am very open and vocal. Where as he was raised to keep quiet about feelings, so people assume the worst.
He loves Nat. Geographic and things of that nature.I will never forget when I was about 7-8 and this program was on about this horrible looking lizard. I said, YUCK, that is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. He said to me, beauty is only what you believe it to be. Just because you believe something to be ugly doesn't mean others will feel the same way. If you can look past what you see, maybe you can find the beauty in that lizard.
He was absolutely right. Just because you see something, that doesn't make it true. Sometimes you have to take a deeper look. With everything in life.
Some of the best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or touched, but must be felt with the heart...Helen Keller

I had a Sunday School teacher when I first got saved. She was without a doubt one of, if not the greatest inspiration of my Christian life, not just by her teachings, but how she lived her life as well.

No one teacher stands out. I've learned lots of things from family, friends, and from books.
The most significant teachers are the significant people in my life... family and a select few friends.
