Mostly working class people , large Italian-American population - some really gorgeous homes; just about the best Christmas decorations in the country - there are tour buses through Dyker Heights around Christmas time and there are tv shows about the decorations in Dyker Heights. The area has wonderful pizza places and bakeries. It's a safe area.

Right next door to Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights is a nice working class neighborhood. I knew a truck driver who lived in Dyker Heights and he said he was the best neighborhood in the world.

i used to live there. its a great area. lots of big, nice houses. great people...mostly italian or european. FAR from ghetto....i'd say upper-middle class.
unfortuantely i had to move cause it was too far for me to commute to the city every day.
