Tanning leads to early aging and cancer. Maybe he doesn't want you all wrinkled or dead.

The tan look is pretty much just a gimmick that the tanning salons tell you to get you hooked. Actually the tanning is hard on your skin and body and as you grow older you will pay severely for it. You can find this out from a health magazine or a dermatologist. People need to learn to appreciate what they have and quit trying to look like somebody else.

Is a tan really that important to you, and how dark do you get? If you think that a tan is that important...maybe you should take a step back and ask why you think it is so important. Really though, most guys don't seem to care what color you are, as long as you don't have parts tanned and the rest pale. All pale, or all tan, and you should be ok. Besides, do you really want "Cancer by GE"?

why is that women don't believe what their male counter part tells them. if he tells you that you look hot, then believe him. being vain is not pretty and neither will you in a couple of years if you keep going to the tanning booth. why would you do that to yourself? instead of spending money on a tanning booth, they have lotions that will give you a tan and it will only cost less then $6.00 and it works. so save the money and get a place together. good luck.

I think the problem is in you not in your boyfriend, and it's you who thinks that you look hot tanned. But not all the people think that way, including your boyfriend.
And if you keep tanning a lot, in 20-30 years you won't look hot, you'll have lots of moles, wrinkled face and look10-15 years older.

Crazy place to be discussing if your boyfriend likes you tanned or not. Maybe you should be asking him, and then having enough faith in him to believe what he tells you. I would vote for no tan. That is so-o-o bad for your skin. As you age, your skin will turn into wrinkled leather. Not to mention the possibility of skin cancer.

Most guys really don't care about tanning. Unless your deathly pale or tanned till your orange, guys don't notice.

TRUE. Don't second guess him. It is just possible that he loves you for who you are and not what you look like. It is great that you want to look nice and tanned, but do those things for you. He loves you for you. Just accept it.

Apparently he's able to look beyond your tan and insecurities and see something he likes.
Tanning isn't really that important in the scheme of things. Why pay for skin cancer when you can walk outdoors and get it for free?
