Heres the Deal-My grandpa is 81 and he lives with me and my sister and mom and dad in my house. So,My Grandpa's doctor said he has blood clots which were reversable with Lovinox shots, and a blood thinner pill.So we got that straightened out,but the side affects of Lovinox is that you get really weak.So Me and my mom, sister, and dad, usually go to church every sunday, but we just stopped because the flu went through my church, and so one of the deacons of the church came over, and we told the pastor to tell them NOT To come back over to our house, because my grandpa's immune system is not able to fight off viruses yet,so then they keep comming back over, and in my observations, thats called "House Touring",because they always want to come in,and we are NOT that type of family who is like "Oh Yeah,Please,Do Come in".Thats just Not us.So,What and how would be a polite way to tell them NOT TO COME Back?We also do plan to go back to chuch sometime this April or May.

Put a sign on the door that says "We are not feeling well and resting, please don't ring the bell as we cannot afford to be awakened. Thank you."
Then when someone is invited over, tell them to ignore the sign.

I know first hand what you are going through !!!!! My Stepfather was a minister. So when he got sick with an autoimmune disease, he also was weak & tired very easy. My Mum went to the Church office and had it put in the bulletin, that he was doing OK, and instead of people coming to the house. Cards, letter & even short phone calls would be appreciated. That cut down on a lot of people stopping in. For the ones that still insisted on coming over to the house. Mum would step out on the front porch, close the door behind her, and in the nicest way tell them thank you so much for coming over. That she was sorry, but he just laid down, or he was in the bath, or he was on the phone, or something! If they could call later that would be great! The ones that did stop in only did it once! Good luck to you & your Grandpa. Hope he gets better soon !!!!

I don't know why they keep showing up when you've asked them not to.
So: When somebody comes, answer the door and say, "Oh, it is so nice to see you! It is so kind of you to call, I only wish I could invite you in! But I can't, because my grandpa's immune system is compromised, and any little germ could land him in the hospital! He's doing fine, of course, but the doctor said we are not to have visitors outside the family, until his immune system is back to normal. We are not even supposed to risk catching anything ourselves, because we could give it to him. Thank you so much for thinking of us! Call me on the phone sometime! I'll let you know when he's better, and we can get together! I love you!" Give the person a hug, and say, "I really have go back in and close the door now. Bye!"
How could they take offense at that? Just don't let them in the house.

Your family needs to put an announcement in the church bulletin or mail a letter to the church body. That's really rude of them to do that. I think sometimes people use the church to "House Tour", knowing that some folks will not refuse them just because they are church members. It's like a weird, morbid curiosity. Have you guys thought about putting a "Please, No Visitors. Immune compromised family member inside." sign on your door? I have one on my door to keep folks from knocking and waking us up (we are day sleepers).

37Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. I like to ask christians to think about this one.... why is it they swear on the bible? the problem with churches is the devil is responsible for each and every one of those religions being here... he blinds people of religion.. making them stupid and dense when it comes to the truth.... Many people leaving the church get caught as well... for people who leave religion heal spiritually.. but religion is like a secrete plague that runs through our societies... spirituality in fact is the energy that connects us to our environment, our link to nature... and when we become healed and freed we can't help but sense we are part of something larger... that something is nature, our environment the life on this planet.. but religions don't allow for us to see that connection... the church harped on the world being flat for centuries... eventually it had to admit that the world was not flat... then the study of gravity through science began and again the religions, church, christians were there slandering the scientists, proclaiming them evil.. saying these people are corrupt... the exact same way they are doing to evolution today... but today we see those who opposed the study of gravity as fools... gravity can not be denied... evolution is as much a law of nature as gravity.. it's only a matter of time before science will win that argument.. but this generation will be the ones refered to as fools if we don't stop arguing about every detail... why do the christians seem to be winning this argument today... because they don't want the truth being told in our schools... they say there is not enough evidence to support that the world evolved... or the universe evolved... evolution exists.. plants are related, insects are related... animals related... but the christians don't care about the evidence incured they only care about pointing out what is not understood.. just like they did with gravity... it takes humanity centuries to understand on simple natural concept because religions say NO.... I hope I've proven my case.. you have seen the give me money side of christianity.. now look at the argument side of them... is the world flat? does gravity exists or not, do we understand it enough? evolution is as much a law of nature as gravity... but are we to be the generation of fools that will condemn or delay it's understanding... there are so many things left to be learned about nature if we don't start accepting the obvious then we will forever be fools.

AGAIN............Tell them all of their help & prayers is appreciated, but it's best if they stop the visits. They have to respect your decision and if they don't simply don't open the door. They can't force you to let them in. They will stop coming.
