If it is just the glass that was broken with no body damage then there are basically 3 options.
1) if you have "glass coverage" on your policy, it would be replaced for 0 deductible or a very low deductible.
2)if you do not have "glass coverage" but do have "comprehensive" coverage, you might be able to go this route as long as the replacement cost is greater than your deductible.
3)just replace the window yourself and pay out of pocket to avoid an insurance claim.
FYI, usually a single glass claim won't increase your insurance, but if you have multiple claims in a short amount of time, then your insurance might be prone to increases.

If you don't have a witness who saw the person doing it then there is no use in trying to figure it out you will just be wasting your time. The only way it might happen by luck is if lets say someone at school brags about what they did to your window but even then how would you prove it.
Insurance may or may not cover the damages based on what type of insurance you have, liability only, full coverage etc. ask your parents they should know whats covered or at least what type of insurance is on the vehicle. Even if your insurance does cover the damages there will likely be an insurance deductible which you or your parents will have to pay just to get the window fixed. So lets say your deductible is $500 then if your window is cheaper than $500 to replace why go through your insurance at all. If the window and labor to install are more than your deductible then it might make sense to go through the insurance. Good luck.

Back window usually has defroster lines which will increase the replacement costs. While front windshield is only like $120 or so, back one can easily be double that, as it is a dealer only item, plus labor to install. Still, most insurance have like $500 deductible, making it not worth the trouble to notify insurance.

You should probably just pay out of pocket rather than going through insurance, as it will be a claim on the account. I feel for you. We had our front windshield broken once, while we were parked by a golf course (doing something else in the area). At one point we actually saw a van pull up by our car, and thought they were just parking by us, but they drove off quickly. Later we found out they actually drove over to PICK UP the golf ball they hit our car with! We had to pay because there was nothing to tell police besides "people in a blue van did it."

If the car has full coverage, then yes, the window should be covered with a small deductible. however, if it doesnt have full coverage, chances are it wont be covered. Windows are getting cheaper and cheaper, and you can probably have a new one installed for right around 200 dollars, depending on the vehicle type.
