Anything that is authentic from God will also be a life changing experience. It would not just be a healing by itself. There would be an eye opening revelation along with it, or simply the new awareness that God heals would change the life of that person. People have been known to loose their healing by going back to the thing or way of life that made them sick in the first place.

I know from personal experience of the healing power of God. Artheritis is a painful condition and I pray you never have to experience that discomfort. I was healed almost 9 years ago and have never forgotten Who did the miracle. I have also heard first hand testimonies of a few people cured of incurable diseases by the mighty hand of God. There is nothing fake or phoney about the doctor reports my friend. Once God heals you, you are good to go for life. Just always be mindful of the One responsible.
The incurable diseases I briefly mentioned are cancer, aids(yes, that's right), along with some other minor healings of deafness, broken bones healed before "medical professionals" said, people not supposed to walk again without some sort of help from crutches, walker, or wheelchair, that now run around the church with no assistance.
THAT is how you know when a person has been healed by God. They tell everyone and the testimony will stay with you for an example to share later.

Way back in the day, placebo effects were non existent for most all people. The touch of Jesus Christ would give that effect, surely. And it may have been the cure.
But does it make it any less of a miracle? It completely fits. Jesus Christ. Hope. Miracle. Cure. Happiness. Placebo effect. Yay.
If you were talking about a medicine that only worked because of a placebo effect, that'd be bad.

Cancer has never been cured by a placebo. Why doesn't it seem when other religions pray very hard and believe utterly aren't they cured from cancer? The answer is because their "placebo" faith isn't real. God is real.

The placebo influence is somewhat documented, praying to any random god might have the comparable influence as a result there are various gods that could heal you or there are none. constructive questioning has the comparable influence. a greater ideal attempt of any god and their magic healing capability could be in the event that they might help a medical subject common to no longer be plagued by ability of the placebo influence, jointly with a lacking kidney or decapitation.

It is true that what is created by the mind can be undone by the mind. However.... Humans may imploy all of the will power and positive thought available to them, but can not open blind eyes, cause spontaneous growth of healthy tissue,or cure a terminal disease miraculously in an instant..these types healings are limited to direct intervention by the power of God.

Great question because that is the one place prayer works - prayer for self. It may not perform miracles (despite the legend, doctors really can't say "you will die in so many weeks" to a high degree of certainty) but it's a positive effect just the same.
You don't know it will work but that doesn't mean it's not worth trying. It is right up there with meditation in it's effect in helping the body heal (meaning, yeah, you can practice that if prayer isn't your cup of tea).

You have to take it on faith...like I was in constant all the time everyday pain (after 4 knee surgeries) and God took the pain away...I can't prove it to you but it is real not a placebo.

It's called faith believeing, when the Holy Spirit places something in a beliver to pray for the believer knows in his heart that God will move in their behalf.

Well you could work it out using a scientific study. Indeed some people did just that and found that prayer has no effect.
