God doesn't give any babies HIV it's the parent(s) that chose to sin that passed HIV to their child. If people will stop committing adultery and fornication scientist would have to worry about making vaccines for STD's. If people will live the way that God want them to live we wouldn't have this problem today. But unfortunately husband and wives go out there and have an affair with another person and commit adultery and some people are just having sex/committing fornication with Tom, Jane and Harry and that ain't the way that God planned it to be.
IT IS NOT GOD FAULT AT ALL THAT A BABY COMES INTO THIS WORLD WITH HIV OR ANY OTHER STD, IT'S THE PARENTS) FAULT.

God doesn't give the babies HIV their parents do. Sins have been talked about being passed down from parents to children. It is sad but God has a plan for everyone. Usually now days they do a c-section for HIV infected people so there is minimal blood contact with the child and mother. I would like to add that the mother doesn't pass the HIV virus to her unborn child during pregnancy because the baby has blood given to him/her through the umbilical cord but the virus usually is not passed on through the barrier.
Lets see how many thumbs down I get, lol!

If they are born with HIV, how does it follow that God gave them HIV?
Babies get HIV from being carried around for 9 months in their HIV infected mothers' wombs. HIV is a blood-born pathogen, contracted primarily as a result of sinful, self-destructive behaviors.
Adam was created perfect by God. Genesis says that his son, Seth, was made in the image of Adam, after sin had entered the world.

God doesn't give babies HIV, it is transferred from the mother's blood, and then go back to the man who gave it to her. It is risky behavior that gives HIV to people, not God. He give the knowledge to avoid it, but people don't listen. You are looking to put the blame in the wrong place. HIV is a consequence of bad choices, and then is passed on to innocent victims. Best wishes

Original sin.
Or you could go the scientific route:
To assess the role of maternal viraemia in vertical transmission of HIV and the extent to which viraemia occurs during the various stages of pregnancy, we have attempted to detect human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in 44 pregnant HIV-1 infected women during 47 pregnancies (30 continued, 17 aborted) and in 30 children and 12 fetuses. Infectious HIV was detected at some time during pregnancy in 59% of women from plasma and in 83% from either peripheral blood mononuclear cells or plasma. HIV was not isolated from any of the newborn babies (0/27) at birth. The mothers had a significantly higher frequency of viraemia during pregnancy than their children had by 6 months of age (p = 0.002); by this time HIV was recovered from 5 (26%) of 19 infants. HIV was not detected by virus isolation, in-situ hybridisation, or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in 10 fetuses; the other 2 fetuses were positive either by in-situ hybridisation or by PCR but neither result could be confirmed in a second organ or by the other methods of detection. The findings show that there is no consistent spread of HIV across the placenta during maternal viraemia, and indicate that in most cases transmission occurs close to or at delivery.
I go with the latter.

You are mistaken that God does anything harmful to people. That is the devil's doing. As the bible says, the earth is controlled by the devil. Heaven is controlled by God. So, a better question would be "why doesn't God stop HIV in babies?" But, I would still say that as a Christian, we have no right to question God. EVERY situation can be used for God's good purposes, if we are open to His blessing and keep a positive attitude.

Yes, some are bron with HIV. But, God does not give babies HIV. Their mother does. She somehow contracts the virus, and then through her pregnancy or the birth, it is passed onto the child. God created the child, but doesn't decide, "hey, I think i'll give this baby HIV!" No, thats not how it works. It almost genetics
God is perfect. Do NOT blame him for human mistakes.

Since only God knows the answer to his good in is unlikely we will ever know the answer. However God's plan is always good even though it seems evil. The absence of health is not evil in itself it is just a defect of the flesh. God's plan is that good is in everything he does. What good will come from a baby having HIV is in his plan.

OK, either you believe that God is beyond reproach,
or you don't.
As soon as you start making God try to behave
according to human morality, you are taking away
his/her Godliness.
Do not look for any organized relgion's doctrine to be entirely
self-consistant.
That's not what religion is for.
Religion offers spiritual guidance, gives you a sense of community
and a common sense of purpose.
None of the big religions are entirely free of inconsistancies.
Militant agnostic: I don't know - AND NEITHER DO YOU.

God doesn't give babies HIV. People, with free will choose to have unprotected sex and conceive children. Why is it that man always wants to take credit when things go well in society but blame God when things go wrong?
