It is criminal. In 2003 our area was engulfed by forest fires, and half the city was evacuated, 10,000 people had to leave their homes and I still saw jerks throwing out their butts.

Yes, it annoys me when people do this. They should clean up their own mess instead of flicking it out on the streets for others to pick up. It's bad enough that they pollute the air for everyone around them with their bad habit without them throwing their cigarette butts on the ground too. How hard can it be to put the cigarette out in the ashtrey in the car and once per week empty the ashtrey?

It is littering and it is dangerous.
Persons have started brush fires doing that.
I read once about someone who flicked their cigarette out the window and it landed in the back of a woman's pickup. She was carrying groceries in paper bags in the bed of her truck.
It started a fire. She pulled over and tried to put it out and was burned.
Most cars have ashtrays ... I wish people would use them.
Yes, it makes me angry. Any littering upsets me. But tossing cigarette butts is more than inconsiderate, it is potentially dangerous.

Jukebox should carry a portable metal can with her instead of littering (see the answerer above me). She thought far enough in the future to carry a pack of cigarettes, but not five minutes beyond that to when she would have to dispose of a butt?
We're all stupid about something, but most of us don't show it on our faces five minutes out of every thirty.

Yes I get upset and I'm a smoker, but I don't like to see anyone throw anything out their car windows. I don't like to see littering! My parents lost everything they owned when they were moving because someone threw out a lit cigarette and it landed in the trailer they were towing and burned all their belongings.

Irritates me like nothing else on the road (except for the semi truck that ran me off the road). Cars still have ashtrays.

for littering its only "outdoors" and "in a public place" so the status of the line does no longer matter and its public if Tescos invite the widespread public in. I cant see the element combating it in spite of the fact that that's amazingly dissapointing that the council decide for the common pickings and cant do extra effective paintings for the earnings of the community, only %. on the motorists clamp their autos and dish out tickets. you will get much less for shoplifting.

I dislike all littering, even small stuff... plus a cig butt could of course be dangerous if it's still lit. We only got one planet, I wish people would take better care of it!

This is so disgusting!!! I hate finding cigarette butts on the road, in a public bathroom, or in a yard!!! I wish they'd ENFORCE a non-PUBLIC smoking law........ no smoking UNLESS you are in your own home.
