wow 50 lbs is very unrealistic. You must be very overweight for that to even be possible. 30 lbs is a more realistic goal but it will require SERIOUS changes. Entire changes to diet, lifestyle--a few pills is not going to make THAT dramatic of a difference.
First off--you need to consult with a trainer. Perferably one that has experience in nutrional needs--otherwise you need to consult a nutritionist as well. B/c for a weight lose that dramatic that quickly, you can't let up. Not even for a day.
First keep a food journal of everything you eat. You'd be shocked at how many calories you are consuming that you don't even realize. You will need to start speeding up your metabolism by eatting small meals 5 times a day. Yogurt, cottage cheese, an apple. Something nutrious needs to be entering your system nearly ever 3 hours. You will need to completely rework your diet. Lower calorie and smaller portions. Probably close to half the size of a portion you are eatting now. Read Dr Phil's the Ultimate Weight Loss Solution, b/c I also believe that there are psychological reasons you are overweight in the first place. Plus he has some great recipes in there.
Next you will need to consult a personal trainer. Find someone you really like on a personal level since you will be spending a LOT of time with this person. You will need to come up with a workout routine that best suits your individual needs, works you to the max (with your health needs and physical strength taken into consideration) and motivates you during the plateau of your weight loss when you start wanting to quit.
You'll be doing a minimum of 30 min of cardio a day. You can vary what type of cardio you wish. Jump rope is actually one of the best weight loss exercises there is.
Then you will have a workout routine that will target specific areas. It is harder for women to lose weight than men so you need a trainer to help you not get discouraged after 2 weeks when you aren't seeing changes.
No one on yahoo is going to be able to help you with this question b/c it is so personal based on your size, your strength, any health concerns. A trainer is going to be able to know your limits and help you keep pressing on even when you think you are too tired.
This is a lot of weight to lose and not easy. Just don't give up on your dreams. You want to do this in a healthy way and not just gain it all back, you need a lifestyle change. You have to seek professional help--not just asking Y!A people.
Good luck and stay motivated! It's not just all about lbs--even when you think you aren't losing any fat, you are losing inches, gaining tone and muscle mass.

Coming from someone that has done yo-yo dieting for the last 5 yrs...this is what really works. I recently decided to go the old fashion way and its the best. People get so caught up with diet fads and pills that are so unhealthy. Eat breakfast always make sure you take in a lot of fiber usually cereal or oatmeal along with a fruit...lunch chicken with some veggies, dinner same thing.....do eat small snacks throughout the day..snack on yogurt, fruits, peanuts, anything healthy. Drink water up the ying yang girlfriend that alone will be so beneficial.....and the MOST important thing cardio, cardio, cardio I can't stress it enough girl..you have to "BURN' the fat off literally. Please do incorporate strength training in your workout routines atleast 2-3 times a week ok....get plenty of rest 7-8hrs a night. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT get discouraged if you don't see results immediately. Losing weight takes a lot of patience thats where you test yourself to see how driven you actually are..don't give up. Good luck to you!!!!

Consistent daily exercise and diet (i.e. sensible diet made up of lean protein, some carbs, and lots of fruit and vegetables) is the way to go, but not 30-50 lbs in 4 months.
Healthy weight loss is 1 lb per week. Try to stay in that range to limit stress on your body and heart.
Oh, and two tricks....1) add foods with fiber content to help you feel full. 2) finish these fiber containing foods first (i.e. vegetables) then have your meats and starches last. This will give the fiber more time to fill you up and tell your brain you're done.

Try Fit Image, new product, has Hoodia Gordonii and 5-HTP, worked for me. 6.8 lbs in 4 days.. others have lost 13 lbs in 8 days, and your energy level is constant. Helps to really curb your appetite so your more in control of what your eat, and you will have the energy to exercise. No program will ever be effective without cardio.. and being conscious of what your eating.. Cut out white bread, white rice, white potatoes, and drink 8 glasses of pure water..
You can get the FitImage product at the site.
