here we go
i have mac osx panther in 5 .img files
im running os 9
what i want to do is burn the .img files to disks and boot them so i can install it on the mac
is there software that can do this, for free?
is there a cd-rw driver for the mac os 9, where can i get it?

and another thing if you dont mind
i have 2 drives in my tower mac g3
the one with the os is set as master the one that is (i think) pc formatted is set as slave, what i need to do is format the drive but when i power it on the mac comes up with a file sign that alternates between the mac os face and a question mark
what is going wrong and how can i fix it

You say that you're running OS 9, but then you say when you try to start up it indicates it's unable to find a valid System Folder? If you have a valid OS 9 System Folder, it should find it and start up from it.

Does your G3 have USB ports. If not, according to Apple, it will not support Panther ...

go to mac support. website and ask these questions there,, or join the mac forum which is similar to this site If you want a question answered the best place is a place where everyone uses the same equipment
