I honestly feel I love my female friend more than I ever loved my ex-wife. We have known each other for 6.5 months, have dated numerous times, but nothing serious, we have not slept together either. But my ex-wife and I knew each other for 18 years. I confessed to my female friend tonight that I would rather spend 5 minutes with her than eternity with my ex-wife, plus I would rather spend eternity with her than I would 5 minutes with my ex-wife. Her response was that she felt more comfortable with me than she did her ex-husband and her previous relationships. Is this actually possible since we have never had sex?

you can be close to somebody without having sex. maybe your close because youve both been through the same things (divorce) and so now when you get together you know how eachother feel. sometimes when youv been through the same stuff you get along better with eachother.

your smart sex sometimes clouds peoples judgment i would go slowly and think about what this relationship is based upon one of the keys to a good marriage is that your wife is your freind your lover your companion and really wants the best for both of you i would stop talking about the ex and leave it in your past. i knew someone for 20 years they were an idiot before and still are today somethings never change its all how we see it

When you start a relationship with just friendship without all the hangups we get with relationship, we get to know the woman/man better and have more time to decide. It doesn't matter about x's because all that matters is if you are in love now and if she is in love with you now too and if so doesn't it make it more romantic and exciting? now you know why women do these things, they want to make sure they look before the leap and thats a good thing, take care Heather

Yes it is very possible as LOVE is NOT just SEX. There is so much more to love than sex. And YES you can get love before sex. Good Luck in this relationship.

Sure it is possible. And the fact that this isn't a sexual relationship makes it even more special. Continue getting to know her and show her respect. You have to observe her behavior too, to make sure this isn't a one sided situation. Good luck.
