I rent instruments for both of my kids' music classes. Is this rental money tax deductible? It doesn't seem to fit under education expenses, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. Anyone know?
Thanks!

If the instruments are not used in the pursuit of a trade or business, then they are not tax deductible.

No, you're not wrong, the expenses aren't deductible as education expenses or anything else.
