google her
she is the "mother of civil rights"- refusing to give up her seat on a bus to a white guy
there was a movable sign on the bus to give whites more seating as needed , the bus was crowded, she was tired AND was waiting for the right opportunity to implement a plan the NAACP had mapped out
when the bus driver moved the sign back to allow a white guy to sit down, and Rosa be made to move?
plan put into effect

the protest was in the planning phase for quite a while when the opportunity came up for her to implement

She lived in Detroit for many many years for FREE { in a high rise apartment overlooking the Detroit River} due to taxpayers generosity
a few years ago her family got very greedy and sued Outcast for using her name in a song without giving her some sort of royalty ( at that time, Rosa was so out of it mentally, she didn't recognize family and friends let alone know that her name was used in a song) ( she would have most likely been proud that someone remembered her enough to use her name )
family? greedy and saw $$$$
She originally was suppose to be buried in a simple grave next to her Mom and husband
the city of Detroit.. said...thats not good enough
so.......... again at taxpayers $ , donations ......
a monstrosity marble mausoleum is being built as sort of shrine/tourist attraction

what I find the most disgusting- is during the bus protest than happened after Rosa Parks arrested ..etc was that whites threw urine filed balloons at the blacks boycotting

Rosa Parks was the pioneer of Civil Rights. You can read about her under Google search. Her refusal to give up her seat to a white person began the modern civil rights movement. Her lonely act of bravery and defiance began a movement that ended legal discrimination in America and has made her an inspiration to free-loving people everywhere. She was arrested for her refusal to give up her seat.
In your speech you should begin with an introduction of Rosa Parks and give a detailed account of the importance of her defiance. You may want to include that before she died at 92 she believed that there is much more to be done. To quote from Rosa Parks biography when asks if she is happy, she says, "It pains me that there is still a lot of Klan activity and racism. I think when you say you're happy, you have everything that you need and everything that you want, and nothing more to wish for. I haven't reached that stage yet."
In conclusion Rosa Parks founded Pathways of Freedom where young people can learn about the history of their country and of the civil rights movement. To quote Martin Luther King, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" Rosa Parks is a pioneer in civil rights and is a powerful example for all of us to live for freedom and equality.
