My boyfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship and have been together for almost 2 years. I guess it’s always been difficult but it’s been terrible as of recently. My boyfriend’s course load has increased causing him to cut our conversations short to get his work done. Calling is our main form of communication so, YES this is a problem. This makes me so angry! I could find another guy in a second! BUT I choose to be with HIM because he’s everything I want in a man. He should appreciate me, damn it! BUT THEN AGAIN, we’ve always told each other, WORK comes first. That was fine, when everything was balanced but he can’t seem to do it all the time now. I talked to him about it and he said he’s going to try but it’s not enough. So, when my boyfriend said he was going to cut the amount of time we see each other during the vacation, it blew my top. He says it’s only going to get worse in grad school. I love him but I’m going to kill him if this keeps up. What am I supposed to do now?

Okay, here is my suggestion. If you love him, and you want him to be successful, then support him. Education is the key to yours and his future. I know it's tough. You could go to school, unless you already are(?). Don't break up, enjoy the time you do have together. Make the conversations special. Make the breaks special. Just remember that without the education, you two would be struggling sooo much to make it financially. Good luck!

What I personally think you should do is move on, but if you really love him like you say you do just learn to cope with him. I know how it feels to see someone you love so far but then so close.
