I am looking for a good High end set of speakers, floor standing. Along with the rest of the surround sound speakers. I currently have Klipsch S2's. I way under bought. I like the Klipsch Reference series but I wanted to get an Idea of other options. The only high end stereo store where I live, (Fresno, Ca.) closed, so I can't really listen to any first hand. I need the floor speakers to be kick *** for music. Jazz, Metal, Country. Also need the whole surround sound to be killer with movies. And yes I actually want to be able to hear the actors speak. My Receiver is a Denon AVR 2802. Will I need to upgrade that for higher quality speakers. Thanks......

I recommend going to a couple good local High end audio stores and audition a few different brands. Dont get hung up on a certain brand, there is many very good ones to consider and your ear will tell you what you like the best! Matching your Klipsch might be a good start, since your floorstanders will match the sound type of your S2's. There is a couple places near Fresno that sell high end audio:

The Denon AVR2802 was highly recommended for a midrange home theater system.I feel if you upgrade to the 3802 you will have a better choice of speakers.Denon have improved their sound quality in this receiver, which is another reason to upgrade. Now we will see some speakers you may like.

I am not a big fan of any of the Klipsch myself. If you want something real nice go for Canton Vento or even better Kef Reference. They will blow the Klipsch away.
