the best part of being a doctor is knowing that you are helping people who NEED you. If you weren't there what would they do?
Being a doctor I can do what I always wanted... to save people. The worst is when you can't.

The best part for me is being able to comfort people when they are scared and/or upset, relieving pain, helping to save lives, and knowing that I'm making good use of my time and talents. I also have a blast putting in spinals and epidurals, and (most of the time) I like hanging out in OR's with my surgical and nursing colleagues.
The worst is trying to get paid by insurance companies. All I want is to be paid for the work I did. I wish the people who ran insurance companies had to jump through hoops to get their paychecks each week!
(I had a bad day yesterday, though... put in a double lumen endotrachel tube in a guy and pus poured out from the right side... it dripped onto the floor... ewwwww! But most days are NOT filled with pus, and that's a good thing)

my dad is a doctor for me the best part is helping people and make enough money, the worst part is we have to study a lot
to get in Medici school and get A++ most of the time if became

The best part has been the respect society gave me. The worst is working under a non medical administrator.

best: call you own hours and days (I am an ER doc)
worst: people that use the ER for silly stuff when the real ER patients are dying
