ok i used to have really curly hair up until a year ago, bow not so much. i want my curls back!!! will getting a perm. help or bring my curly hair back?if not what could i do??? o and i have a lot and very thick hair plz give me some good advice!

Perming only works on the exposed hair shaft. It will not affect the follicles which determines hair texture.
Some people's hair texture changes dramatically as they get older. Another factor is the length of the hair. Sometimes, the weight of long hair pulls the curl down and in other cases, the hair is only curly towards the end as the hair gets longer.
You should consult a hair dresser about your hair's texture and find a cut that suits you & the way your hair is now.
As for perming - only as a last resort if you really can't stand your hair as it is. Perms are never as pretty as naturally curly hair and require more work to look good IMHO.

A perm will curl your hair but it wont bring back your old curls. I f you get perms all year long you will hav curly hair

just put some muss on.....that would bring out some curls...i just don't understand how your natural curl when away...well try using some moss when your hair is wet...I use to like putting a lil of baby oil but i hear that is not good for your hair...i don't really know if that's true...but i been using oil since i was 14 i am 27 now i don't have no problems

you should get a curler if that doesn't work then curl it every morning then it could be as curly or as strait as you want. then it would go with anything you want!
