Well you're missing out on seeing things clearly that's for sure. And why put yourself at a disadvantage with having to strain to see and there's reason to do this. People these days do not care whether you wear spectacles or not. Nobody is looking at you because you wear glasses. You could be making your eyes worse by not wearing your prescribed spectacles and why do this? I had to wear glasses when I was at school, because I couldn't see the blackboard from the back of the classroom. I kept moving up the rows of seats to the front row eventually. The teacher twigged on that I needed spectacles and sent me to the opticians. I suggest to you be sensible, and not let your self consciousness get the better of you. Why work under a handicap when you don't need too. givemestrength

The damage can be natural or you can do things to harm your sight. I personally damaged my eye sight by wearing my mom's glasses for a long period of time. Eventually, I guess, you eyes start to become accustom to the decrease in eye sight and becomes worse so that you can see with the glasses on.

Generally, I've found the old "sun theory" to work moderately well, but I'll tell ya it's real easy with a couple of heavy duty flashlights. And a TV. OK, and the sun. And a magnifying glass. Or telescope.

Needing glasses is a result of heredity and not abuse.
NEVER look at the sun with your eyes or through binoculars!! It will burn out the middle of your vision and ow glasses can help that.
If you want glasses, get some good looking sunglasses and use them.

People have to wear glasses usually because of long-term chronic problems or natural wear and tear or anatomy of the eye. The eye ball is extremely sensative and easily damaged. For someone to try and hurt their eyes, they would probably go blind.

You don't and you can't. You will either need glasses or you won't.
