As a Catholic, no, I'm probably not having a steak on Good Friday.

Don't I wish! With garlic compound butter on top! Am I wrong, but I thought the no meat on Friday was lifted??? (Actually, it's Sat. & I just picked up this question!) I LOVE bacon, too.
As to health concerns, steak & butter & bacon won't kill you if you don't do it in excess!

Edit: I just remembered DISTINCTLY, that some years ago, A Catholic friend of mine, when the Friday meat ban was lifted, asked me if I thought those who had done so BEFORE would still go to hell!
