i am a hendric motorsports fan and one thing for sure is that when the white flag waved Jeff had a chance to pull out and win but jimmie wasn't going to let his teammate just pull out in front of him. He wanted the race to be fair and the same time clean the race was of course 500 laps. but if Jeff gordon wanted to move jimmie he would of but is was his teammate. The way the COT works today is if you get moved you have a better chance of not spinning than spinning in the old cars. So the race winner should have been Jeff but there's alsways Teaxas comming up in 2 weeks and the next races in the up commming schdual for the DUPONT falmes.

The object here was to win, congrats JJ.If the victory means winning over the cars co-owner then so be it.But there is a race among the 2 to see whos best and how far do you push before being pushed back.Sunday there was good racing even if you are not a fan of Gordon-Johnson.Should Jeff given the bumper to Jimmie?I don't have an answer I was not in the car.Could Jeff have pssed if it were a Green-White-Checker deal?
Or if the weather had not cleared up would NASCAR have called it?
Overall a good race, the finish was a little more "mellow" than these 2 normally have.
So Selfish ?Not this time.

Of course it was selfish!!! Every driver is selfish, they are on the track for one reason: to win the race. They aren't just going around in a circle enjoying the scenery.

Jimmie: Oh hi, Jeff. I didn't see you there. Go ahead in front of me.

Jeff: Oh no, Jimmie. You stay up front.

Jimmie: But, I insist. You'll love the view from here.

Jeff: Okay, thanks good buddy.

Tony: Excuse me, do you have any Grey Poupon?

Any driver who isn't selfish shouldn't be on the track. It would have been different if it were early in the race and Jimmie was obviously holding up a faster teammate. But, when the race is on the line, any driver would block for the win.

Jeff deserved the win. That's the bottom line. Their will be some interesting racing as Jeff said as Jimmie block him pretty hard but he did what he needed to do in order to win a race. Simple as that. If Jeff was leading he would have done everything to get that win. Jimmie would have tried everything like Jeff did except wreck him. Their teammates one was going to win so that's enough for now they each will get their share of races won.

This is Nascar. Jimmie Johnson was doing the right thing. Jeff Gordon was inches away from pulling a Pablo Montoya.

All 43 drivers want the same thing,
Win the race.
I thought it was good clean racing by both drivers.
Both did what they had to do, Gordon just came up a little short. A few more laps and he might of gotten around Johnson.
Johnson has sponsors he must answer to also, I don't think Lowes would be very happy if he had just let Gordon pass without a fight.

As a huge Gordon fan I want to say yes but of course the answer is no.
The whole point is to win and even Gordon said during the post race interview that Jimmy did what he was supposed to.

As I see it as long as you race clean then let the cards lay as they will.

Not at all... It's racing... he was blocking him... a common maneuver, especially on short tracks... If that would've been anybody but gordon, johnson would've gotten spun out. Not that big of a deal really... what he did was for the best of the team by not spinning him out... it was good, clean racing.

Just cause gordon is selfish and wanted the win, it's being made into a big deal... it's not a big deal.

No it wasn't selfish, Gordon would have done the same thing to Jimmy. It's racing, you want to win so why would you let another car go by.

No it is what they call racing. Jeff and Jimmie both did what they had to do. Like Jimmie said on his radio at the end of the race...I think he may be a little mad at me, but I have always dreamed of beating him like that here at Martinsville.

Jeff will get his wins soon and JJ will just have to hope he has as good a view as Jeff did this Sunday.

GO HMS!!!!
