1. Make sure its not hungry, wet or cold.

2. Swaddle it, shush in its ear, cradle it in your arms (with the baby on its side), rock it, and shove a pacifier in its mouth. Sometimes light taps on the bottom while doing all of the above helps too.

Well when you have children getting them to "shut up"is not an option. It comes with the territory.Sorry.If the baby is crying excessively and you have checked the diaper and it is dry.You then need to as sum that it is hungry. If that doesn't work ask yourself when the last time the baby had a bowl movement?Try and hold it close to yourself and rock the baby side to side while patting the babies bottom GENTLY!!The baby could also be colicky. For that you might want to see a doctor. All my children didn't have that so I don't know anything about it.

Poke sharp objects in your ears until they bleed and you make yourself deaf... shut up a baby! What the hell is wrong with you? You calm a baby by first, checking the vitals, hunger, thirst (depending on age, same as hunger), comfort, temperature, diaper, cleanliness and sleepiness. If there is problem, you fix it. Then you cuddle, sooth, stimulate and touch the baby. If the child is still not calming down, check for signs of illness or gas. If after all that, the child is still crying, call a health hotline for further ideas, or cuddle or rock the child to sleep. Or depending on age, let them cry themselves to sleep.

Sounds like you need to ask for help and walk away for a bit.

please calm down babies can only cry they cannot talk so first find out if the diaper needs changing or is the baby hungry? if its not that has the baby been burped properly if not it has gas and needs to be burped.make sure the baby doesnt have a fever it might be sick if so go to the doctor now a fever means the baby needs help.if you are angry or upset do not touch this baby call someone to help you but dont you hurt this baby.if you dont have the patience to care for kids dont do it.if you have hurt this baby its not going to stop crying take it to the hospital and you know if you need to do that so do the right thing.if this is your girlfriends kid not yours call her at work tell her you cant handle it and pack your crap and leave.

If you have:

changed
fed
swaddled
rocked

the baby and it is still crying and you're too stressed.... lay the baby down and go put your head between two pillows to drown out the noise or put on a pair of headphones. Nothing wrong with a break every now and then.

Please remember it is never ok to shake a baby.

If the crying does not stop.. see the doctor.. it could just be colic or it could be an ear infection or broken bone!

I hope that was meant in a loving way!
If your child is crying constantly, maybe he/she has gas/colic. Talk with your doctor about changing formula if this seems to be the problem. Car rides often work nicely, I could not have survived my son if not for the infant swing. Stick with it, kids are definatly worth the lost sleep and sanity in the end.

It really depends on how old the baby is and why she is crying or yelling. It can be anything from colic to a diaper change to boredom. But babies can easily be distracted and once they are old enough to understand (1-2 years) speaking softly to them and cuddling helps!

Thats really mean. But if you must and its hot make them a cold bottle and if its cold vise versa. If that dosent work give them a warn and soothing bath or you could just ride around for a couple of hours.

if he/she wont stop crying...put him/her down in his crib nowhere he is safe and sound and you go to another room and take some deep breaths calm down collect yourself....babies sometimes cry for hours and if that doesn't work...ask someone you trust to help you out for a minute...sometimes babies get excruciating gas pains ...try a dose of infant gas drops like mylicon...
