Apologize and don't do it anymore when unfounded.

Well, when you've demonstrated jealous behavior, it's gonna be really hard to convince him of the contrary. Jealousy is a symptom of insecurity. Perhaps you should look into that.

Perhaps you really should let him know you feel guilty.

I was accused of something by my ex-gf. She claimed I betraying her. She was wrong. Her never appearing to feel guilty even when it was proven to her by others that I hadn't betrayed her, contributed to us not speaking now.

Ummm.... You Are jealous. Just admit it to yourself.
I f you can't trust him, do yourself a favor and don't be with him.
He SHOULD know you're feeling guilty; you were wrong! In fact, you should say that to him in no uncertain terms.

We could use more info.
Why don't you trust him?
Has he been unfaithful before?
How long have you been together?

Then don't apologize for anything. If you are not truly sorry for your actions don't say a word and let the guilt eat you up slowly. Best of luck.
