God never said this. It was written by men and carried on by the church. Control of the masses. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

What you don't know about God is that He is a consuming fire. Every one will have to see God when they die. But when you come to God you can not approach any old kind of way. You must be holy as He is holy. Only things which are holy can stand in the Presence of God and not be consumed by His glory. So, if you are a sinner and you never repented, when you come into the Presence of God, you will be consumed by the fire of His indignation towards sin. That's what Hell really is. It is the indignation of His holiness towards sin. That's why there is a hell. It just like telling someone to get out a building it's burning down. Some people will run out of the building and save their lives. But the rebellious will not listen and stay inside and be consumed by the flames. And, this is exactly what God is saying to people today, get out of your life of sin or you will be consumed in it.

First of all, I proceed from the certain knowledge that God is the Creator of the Universe and all life therein. He enunciated certain commandments that were designed to make us happy, healthy and content people. When we break these commandments, we set ourselves against God, we enter a state of rebellion. Despite the fact that all of us sin, God loves us enough that He has given us an out from our just reward for our rebellion which is death. God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus to take our place and to accept our punishment for sin. Since Jesus was without sin and the Son of God, all of our sin has been paid for past, present and future.
You ask, "What right does God have to tell us what to do?" I will answer you with a question. What right does a parent have to tell his or her child what to do? God is all knowing, all powerful and all good. He is our father and he has every right to parent us as He sees fit.

God does not throw someone into hell because they don't follow Him. He sends them to a place separated from Himself because that is what they choose. He does not threaten you. He tells you what your choices are and the consequences to those choices. The descriptions Jesus gave is "outer darkness where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth." The torment of hell is not designed by God but by those who choose to reject Him. They will see Him one time and never again though out eternity. Then they will know the truth fully and have to deal with a loss greater than any they know now.

A g*d's inherent power lies in belief. If he has no followers, he has no power.
G*d does not teach not to judge. "Judge not lest ye be judged yourself" is the bible's way of saying that only the believers are qualified to make those judgements. And according to religion, g*d is the ultimate judge.
It is exactly like saying to someone, "if you don't do what I want, not only will I hurt you, but I will hurt everyone you know, tainted by association as they are."
Religion is a plague on humanity for which there is no cure.

Because any holy book you read says God sends non whatever to Hell. You have to believe in God first and if you don't well your pretty much going to Hell. Of course that depends on God where you go. But basically non believers have plenty of chances NOT to go to Hell. They're just being risk takers. Like Islam. All bad Muslims and non Muslims go to Hell for not following Islam. All Christians go to Heaven and non Christians go to Hell according to Christianity.

I agree, I don't get why God would care either....but he does. He loves us all very much, so he does care. God doesn't "deem people to hell" for not believing in him. When Adam sinned, his sin affected the rest of humanity. you and i both deserve to go to hell. nothing we can ever do will ever make us worthy of going to heaven. you and i will never be perfect because we are a fallen, sinful humanity. If God were just and fair we would all be going to hell, because that is what we ALL deserve. Luckily, God is just and fair, but also merciful and out of his pure and holy mercy and love God sent Christ to atone for our sins. God gave us the gift of salvation. All we have to do is accept it and we go to heaven instead of hell. The question isn't why God allows people to go to hell, it's why he allows the sinful, imperfect humanity that we are...why would he let any of us go to heaven? That's what i call love...it's like some guy murdering both your parents and then he's homeless and you tell him you forgive him, you love him, and you'll let him live in your house with you. you couldn't do it. luckilly, you don't have to. But that's what God does with us.
Also, God teaches that you and I shouldn't judge people because we are far from perfect, but the Bible says all over that God does judge. and he's allowed to, he's perfect. he is absolute morality. hope that helps. if you have anymore questions, email me!

My own personal opinion is that:
Since God is the source of love, God brings us joy without God there is no love in life. While we are still alive and being tested we do experience love from God regardless if one believes in him or not I do not see Hell as an Eternity of physical agony, it is more so mental torment of never being happy. Perhaps Hell is just permanent death as others have said.

They believe it because most are taught that most of their lives. Most believers tell people they're going to Hell if they continue a certain behavior in hopes of having the person change their behavior, but all they're really doing is making the person angry or hurt. Also, judging others takes the focus off of themselves.

Well, God is God and He makes the rules. He loves us and gives us opportunity to come to Him through His Son, Jesus. He gives us the freedom to choose to come His way or to go our own way and live with the consequences. The Bible says that "The wages of sin is death". If we have worked for the god of sin, Satan, then we get the wages for that work which is death but on the other hand, "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord." I'd rather accept a free gift of eternal life than work for Satan all my days only to join him in hell for eternity. We can't come to God any other way than through His son, Jesus.

If you don't follow god you are following evil. In the Bible God says
1. You are to put no other gods before him.
2. That he is a vengful and just God.
3. He also says justice is mine sayith the lord.
So yeah I worry about pissing him off.
