Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
John 2:19 - Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
John 2:20 - Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
John 2:21 - But he spake of the temple of his body.
1 Corinthians 3:16 - Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 3:17 - If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1 Corinthians 6:19 - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

I just love hearing the teachings of Paul. It makes me realize just how far out and even cruel his views were.
Not to mention how they didn't line up with Judaism then or now.
God made you - you are a child of God. Your body was made by God, your soul, your heart, your thoughts, your destiny. All of these things touched and designed by God. Are you saying that you have to die to one part that God designed so that you can be worthy of God? Are you saying that what God designed was inherently evil?
Yes.
Read the OT - read the actual Law and compare it to what Paul teaches.

Yes, so quit putting dead flesh and blood into the temple, because every one of God's creatures are dear to Him, not just humans.

I already kicked it out. My body is my own. And if the spirit tries to get in again, I'm pressing rape charges.

If my parents didn't try to force this on me when i wasn't even old enough to hold up my own head, I might have chosen his crap.
And it might have become true!

No, my body isn't a temple of your holy spirit. And I am not one of your god's children. Me and him are of no relation. He's not my kin.
