No, that is not enough to overdose. However, if you have never taken this combination before, you may just need to get accustomed to it. 10 mg of lexapro is a small dose as is 0.5 mg of ativan. Obviously, if this continues to be bothersome, let your doctor know! Best wishes!

No, that should definitely NOT be enough to overdose! I was taking 20mgs of Lexapro with 0.5mgs of Ativan "as needed". My doctor recommended that I not exceed 2mgs of the Ativan a day only because I may feel very drowsy PLUS she didn't want me getting addicted to it.
0.5mg alone did not help much and I found I needed a second pill after about 30 minutes because I would still be panicky. The first day that I took 1mg of Ativan within one hour, I felt very drugged, totally out of it and I was having a hard time walking straight. I was not drowsy, I just had that 'underwater' feeling. Very soon after, I became used to higher amounts of Ativan until I found that some days I was taking 5 or 6 pills a day (about 3mgs). I realized I was becoming totally dependent on it because I would have a panic attack when the drug wore off, making me feel like I 'needed' another pill. I was switched to Klonopin after that.

Everyone is so concerned with overdosing since the whole Anna Nicole thing.
Those are both very low dosages of the medications. If you feel too drowsy talk to your doctor.
Ativan is normally a PRN drug, meaning you don't have to take it all the time, just as needed. Which could be why you're feeling 'drowsy' if you aren't having an anxiety attack and just start taking Ativan, it will have that effect

0.5 is the smallest dose of Ativan that is even made. A baby couldn't OD on that amount.
However, that's what Ativan does. It makes you relaxed and sleepy. It's in the same class of drugs as Valium and Xanax. Which also means that it's incredibly addictive. Be careful with it, and only take it if you feel like you need it at that moment. Ativan isn't like Lexapro. With a drug like Lexapro, you need to take it every day to build up enough of it for it to work. Ativan works when you take it and then goes away.

No, that is not an overdose. People are prescribed those medications in those dosages together. although if you are having a hard time and feel suicidal please call a crisis line or go to the closest E.R.
