Its like they think that their religious experience is so true that everyone must surley be experiencing the same thing. Its a weird way of thinking...

I think Christians may be referring to Romans 1:18-20:

God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

Note from NLT version of the bible: Does anyone have an excuse for not believing in God? The bible answers an emphatic no. God has revealed what he is like in and through his creation. Every person, therfore, either accepts or rejects God.

I had a long reply for this, but I'll just say, we all have an inner knowledge that God exists, and the Bible tells us creation makes it impossible for anyone to deny God.

People do not hang around people, places, or things they are indifferent to or could care less about. That's why so many Atheists frequent this category: the small voice within them.

People may reject a personal relationship with God, and never get to know Him as a person, as a Father, but they do know that He exists.

For them the religious experience may be that powerful. When I was studying philosophy at Uni, we asked the God Squad if they wanted a debate on the existence of God. When they turned up they just sat and sang religious songs. For them there is no question - no debate.

I have had experiences that I know God is in my life and it is not so deeeep down. It is closer to the surface for me. I am Lucky and some of my friends wish they had a story like mine to tell. Someday they may. God has favor on who he chooses to have favor on. It is a beautiful thing to no longer have faith but to have FACT is truly a blessing. It is weird in the eyes of a non believer to understand. It takes faith and acceptance of Jesus for your journey to begin. You can't see it peeking in the windows.( this forum) You have to choose to walk right in the front door to get it. I hope one day you do.

I don't think that is a religious saying but they mean that we all have a spirit inside our bodies that came from God and our spirits know him. Unfortunately our minds are usually totally unaware of our spirits and it makes it hard to believe in things like miracles and spirits.

Welcome to awareness that other's views are based upon their personal experience as are yours. Nothing weird about it, really, except in our minds. Our view is quite specific to our experiences and therefore, as close to trivial as, say, an ant's. It's sad when you think how much harm has been done in frustration at someone's seemingly alien point of view. I think it safe to assume:

1. We are all wrong. (No, I'm not. No, I'm not. No, I'm not WRONG!) (lay down on the floor and kick your feet here.)

2. We ought to laugh about it, instead of getting mad.

3. Or, maybe, we could dance instead. (well, it's better than singing.)

If you insist that your view is the only true view, you must be God. That's funny, you don't look Jewish.

Actually, I have never heard or seen a Christian say that. Because it wouldn't be true. Not if we believe the Bible. The Bible tells us that many do not know God, sadly enough.

You can have as much of God as you wish to have... If we all were on fire for God, it'd be like HEAVEN on Earth!!! It'd be awesome....

But some people have deeper experiences than others... The more you walk with God, the more you'll experience. :)

When I hear that phrase, I feel that it is referring to my conscious. I don't feel that it validates any religion, or belief. I think that it is just saying "you know what's right".
