In the MORNING????? I would take your Dobie to the ER Vet ASAP!!!!! You should have put something on the dog to repel the ticks or at least check her for them quite frequently and removed them!!! I feel so bad for your girl. Dobermans are very dear to my heart. Let me know her out come. Good luck!!!

Go to the vet and have it checked out, it may not even be tick disease it could instead be wobblers disease you need the vet to run tests and give the appropriate treatment.

There is another condition that in which a blood vessel ruptures inside the spine I can't think of the name off hand but if it is the case treatment needs to be given within 12 hours otherwise the dog could be left permanently paralysized, so get to the vet now!!!!!!

Call the emergency vet tonight. Ask them what they think. What will you do if she doesn't have until morning. Usually, your vet has an oncall doctor. Just let your vets phone ring until it transfers you to a menu on how to get hold of them. This sounds major. I am in Indiana and have never been charged for calling the emergency vet. Only if I take them in.

If it is tick paralysis, the muscles used for respiration could also become paralyized in which case, death can occur.
You need to try and find the ticks on her and properly remove them ASAP.
If you can't, or you find them and remove them and she's still no better, don't wait until the morning.. go to an emergency clinic.

I think you are correct. I only wish you could get her to the vets today. The sooner she is on the antibiotics the better.
