Donations, yes.
There's more...during the Crusades the nobles used a will, started by the Church, and generously gave it to the Church. The Church was also selling indulgances. They now are the richest in the world...they stick there money in banks and I guess get interest. They also keep the money in the worlds largest banks all over the world. In fact, their small amount of money in the United States still has more money than the world. They had an insurance apprasial a couple of years ago and they people literally left after a few paintings...lol.

Pastor Billy says: this question is easily solved, each parish and diocese must publicly release financial statements each year. Go to any local Church parish for the numbers, question now closed.
By the way my parish has over 5,000 families on average that is ~ 15,000- 20,000 people that would be a congregation equal to any tele-evangelist you work out what the weekly donations would be. Catholics are extremely generous people in my parish there are over 100 different ministries, we give to many goodwill programs for young mothers, the poor, the sick, the elderly.
I'm left wonder if you are Catholic because you would already know this.

The Catholic Church does receive money from what the people give during Mass, and I believe they receive money from the Catholic Diocease. I can say that my Church receives around $15,000 every weekend.

Each parish gets its money from Sunday collections, donations, and fund raisers.
A small portion every dollar collected in each parish is passed on to the diocese.
Poor parishes which cannot support themselves receive extra money from the diocese.
With love in Christ.
