no it wouldn't. because if God didn't exist then the universe/world/people/math problems wouldn't be around because God didn't create it.

2+2 = 4 if we're dealing with apples and not sine waves, but yes, such fundamental math does not presume a god. However, a more sophisticated way of asking a related question is, does the value of the strong nuclear force indicate the existence of god? If the strong nuclear force has a different value, then no cosmic evolution, no hydrogen, no stars, no galaxies, no planets, no biological evolution. Some have argued, yes, this is ultimate evidence of design, while others counter that is an anthropic argument, or perhaps physical laws vary with a multiverse of mathematical probabilities.

This is an interesting question, a bit Orwellian in nature. Who dictates what math says? If the government says 2+2=5, does it make it so? I am not quite sure. Perhaps the laws of nature were set up and/or inspired by the Divine, but are independent now. That is my best theory!

More importantly, could God make 2 + 2 = 5? Is God bound by the laws of logic? And if not, could He both exist and not exist simultaneously?

Nothing exists without God. 2+2 will be always equal to 4.

Mathematically talking, 2+2 will consistently equivalent 4, if all integers are finished numbers. (I concede that if it grow to be 2.5+2.5, it may desire to equivalent 5.) show me an occasion of two+2 no longer equaling 4 and how it incredibly is God's will.

2+2 =4 exists because we count to the base 10. This is because we have ten digits (fingers and thumbs). If we count in any other base this changes.

You missed April Fool's day. Perhaps for you 2 + 2 does not equal 4 whether or not she exists.

Would 2 + 2 = 4 if a god *did* exist? One of the many reasons we can safely assume that we live in a godless universe is that it is governed by regular, inviolable, unthinking physics, not the capricious will of an intelligent entity.

So many Christians I have spoken with are so illogical that I'm not certain that they wouldn't believe that 2+2=6. They come to so many illogical conclusions on other topics one can only imagine that they must also have a disability in mathematics as well.
