"Proofs" is one of those words. "Proof" in math isn't the same as proof in history or in interpersonal relationships or in biology or in any one of a host of other disciplines.
Your mind is already made up so you probably won't even read this.
Lord Kelvin (the Father of Thermodynamics) said, “Do not be afraid of being free thinkers! If you think strongly enough you will be forced by science to the belief in God, which is the foundation of all religion. You will find science not antagonistic but helpful to religion.”
Let me give you one of the many arguments for God's existence (based on scientific evidence): The Cosmological Argument. The argument is simply this: The cosmos is here and must be explained as to how it got here. This argument is using the law of cause and effect, which states: Every effect must have a preceding and adequate cause. What does it mean by "adequate"? Well, the building didn’t collapse because a mosquito landed on it. The tsunami didn’t hit because someone threw a pebble into the ocean.
Now, when it comes to explaining the existence of the universe, you only get three possibilities: (1) the universe is eternal (it has always been here), (2) the universe created itself, or (3) something created the universe. There is no other possibility except to claim that the universe is simply an illusion and does not exist. So let’s examine these three possibilities to see which is the most reasonable.
First, is the universe eternal? Absolutely not. We know this is true because of the universally recognized second law of Thermodynamics (the law of energy decay or entropy). This law states that everything goes downhill from order to disorder, more usable energy to less. This law is the reason why heat flows from hot to cold and why this building will fall apart if it is not kept up with. If someone doesn’t believe in the second law of thermodynamics, just challenge them to live forever; even with this awesome machinery we have in our bodies, you will eventually wear out and die. We can see that the universe is running down and wearing out; the stars are burning up, the radioactive atoms are decaying, etc. As Psalm 102:26 says, the heavens “will wear out like a garment.” Given enough time, the universe will experience what some call a “heat death” where there is no more energy available for work (maximum entropy); every part of the universe will be the same temperature, and no further work will be possible (speaking of energy transfer); all energy will be evenly distributed. Eternal things obviously do not wear out because they would have had an infinite amount of time to come to their end. Since you cannot have an end without a beginning, the universe must have had a beginning. Evolutionary astronomer Dr. Robert Jastrow said, “Now three lines of evidence—the motions of the galaxies, the laws of thermodynamics, the life story of the stars—pointed to one conclusion; all indicated that the Universe had a beginning.” And everything that has a beginning has a cause. This building had a beginning, you had a beginning, therefore there must have been a preceding and adequate cause. The evolutionists know this and so they came up with the “big bang” theory from that “cosmic egg” (the universe exploded into existence). But there is still a major problem—you have to explain where that “cosmic egg” came from. As it has been said, “There must be a cosmic chicken.” Some scientists like Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov proposed the oscillating universe theory to avoid a beginning. This theory states that the universe acts like a yo-yo; it explodes and then gravity pulls it back in, and then the process repeats itself over and over. But the second law of Thermodynamics still refutes that idea, since each cycle would exhaust more and more usable energy. The universe is not eternal!
Ok, that brings us to the second possibility: Did the universe create itself? I think Heb. 3:4 answers that pretty well, “...every house is built by someone...” Let’s say I walk into my livingroom and see a crayon drawing of our family on the wall. When I ask my daughter where it came from, will I accept her answer of, “It just appeared there; it came from nothing”? Her grandparents might, but I won’t. It is pretty clear that something cannot bring itself into existence. As R.C. Sproul has said, “It is impossible for something to create itself. The concept of self-creation is a contradiction in terms, a nonsense statement . . . It would have to have the causal power of being before it was. It would have to have the power of being before it had any being with which to exercise that power.” As it has been said, “Nothing scratched its head one day and decided to become something.” I’m sorry to have to drop this bombshell on you, but from nothing, comes nothing. Besides, the First Law of Thermodynamics (the law of energy conservation) argues against it. The First Law of Thermodynamics states that in a closed system (without a God, this Universe would have to be a closed system) the amount of energy present in that system is constant (it cannot be created or destroyed), it can only be converted from one form to another. So, if the Universe initially contained no energy, and then it spontaneously generated all of the energy in the Universe, the First Law would be violated. Without intervention from an outside force, the amount of energy in the Universe would have remained constant and unchanged at zero.
And now the third possibility: Did something create the universe? If the universe is not eternal and could not have created itself, then the only remaining alternative is that the universe was created by something or Someone. This would have to be a transcendent, eternal, self-existing being. I can find only one satisfactory explanation to our conundrum, and that is found in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Someone may argue, “If the universe needs a cause, then why doesn’t God need a cause; who created God?” The answer is, everything that has a beginning has a cause; God, unlike the universe, did not have a beginning. Time is linked to matter and space (as we can see from Einstein’s general relativity). If God created the universe, then He created time along with matter and space. If God created time, then He is outside of time and doesn’t need a beginning.
What is more absurd, to believe that God Created everything out of nothing or that nothing turned itself into everything? The fact is, we live in a Universe that is an effect. There must be a preceding and adequate cause for it. The only thing that makes sense is a Creator who is more powerful than anything we can imagine.

Ok, and you want us to believe that we came from a rock, or slime? Don't go telling me evolution isn’t a religion! And don't mix up the True Christians, with the crazy Muslim radicals out there blowing each other up!! Just look around you! How did the universe begin? Look at the stars, the heavens, the trees, the animals, you want to believe they sloooowly evolved over billions of years? If so, WHY don't we see it happening today? And one quick proof that evolution is a fraud. The Earth, and the Moon, are in perfect distance from each other...but the moon is slowly moving further away from the earth. This doesn’t present a problem, since the earth is only around 6,000 years old, and it means the moon has only moved a few inches. BUT, if we say the earth is several billion years old...well....that means the moon would have been only a few miles off the side of the earth back then when we were slowly evolving into fish or apes whatever order you tried to put them in...want to give a guess at the amount of gravitational pull there would be?? While those little chemicals are slowly evolving in their chemical soup, and it's pouring on the rocks...like don't you think the moon would sorta mess all that up? Oh wait a minute...yeah it would have...that's why you're here today!!

Have you read the Koran ? The Koran has scientific revelations of human science and space science, revealed 1400 years, which is absolutely not possible without the present day equipments. How would you explain that ? Magic ?
Science cures diseases but what about those incurable diseases which people have got themselves cured through some miracles. How do explain ? Magic ?
Are you sure that science will provide the much desired peace ? Science was the cause of invention of all the dangerous weapons which are available today. The chaotic situation in the Middle East is not caused by religion but Politics.
The world would be in a total mess without the belief in God. The world is what it is today because of the belief in the Love of God, Fear of God and the belief that He is watching us.

"Is absence of proof of God proof of the absence of God?" No. I think you are leaning more into the area of agnosticism. (atheism and agnosticism are not mutually exclusive). I am an Agnostic Atheist. I don't believe in the existence of deities, but I don't entirely rule them out, either. I personally, feel that the existence of deities is unlikely (though possible). I also feel that the majority of theistic religions are man-made, and impossible. You mentioned an issue of the burden of proof. It always lays on the person making the fantastic claim. If I were to say there were a flying spaghetti monster, you would ask for proof, and rightly so. There cannot be proof that gods do not exist. What you have to do is start from an unbiased point. The evidence does not necessarily support a divine creator. Theists generally tend to lean that way due to their upbringing and social environment. You should always start with the question and try to find the answer. You should never start with the answer and try to fit the question to it.

Can you prove that there is no God? As far as a creation, the "big bang" is just as bazaar. What was there to create the bang? Something had to be in place to bang together--who made that?
As for science ruling the world---I think women should rule the world. I can tell you: no man would ever touch a child again in a sexual manner--he would be killed the first time without being sent to jail, wars would not be on our front pages, rapes would not occur, science can't fix those problems let along the religious ones.
As for God ruling the Earth--that was why he created man. Man is the one doing such a bad job, not God. He gave us free will and a beautiful place to exercise that. We are the ones messing things up.

That's like saying "I don't believe love exists because it can't be proven scientifically." Religion lies outside the scope of science. Your argument that "Religion is the cause of the world's problems."...is patently wrong. That's like blaming science for the creation of nuclear weapons. Then look at epidemics like AIDS. Did religion cause that? Religion generally promotes abstinence outside the context of marriage. What about the mass genocide of unborn babies? Did religion cause that? What about the killing of Hitler or Stalin which combined have killed more than all religious wars combined, in the name of social darwinism and communism.
I'm all for science. And many scientific advancements in every field have come from people of faith who were scientists.
I think it's extremely ignorant of you to believe in some false dichotomy, where science and religion and mitigated against each other.
And I think the most dangerous people are the type that think like you. The type that are extremely close minded and relegate everything into these categories and try and reduce everything with your simplistic dismissals.

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

It looks like you have already made up your mind. Creation testifies for itself that there is a God. Why do you feel the need to explain everything? God is greater than humans, we are finite beings and God is infinite, we can not explain by science of man every thing about God. Stop being angry at Christians for what they believe. I am not trying to push it down your throat, you have free will to decide. Peace!

Apparently, you believe in science. But has science brought humanity happiness/ The results of science are ambivalent. The advances in science are now threatening the existence of humanity through climate change. Religion is, similarly, ambivalent, as it is propagated and maintained by frail human beings, who, even in religion, seek their own interests. However, religion also teaches us to be altruistic, to serve the weak. I am convinced that the present day social security system are based on religious ethics. It is clear that one can not prove or disprove the existence of God through human science, as then He (or She) would no longer be God, but the result of some human scientific experience. From the beginning of its existence humans have had some form of religion, which made an impact on the way they saw their environment. It opened their eyes for the " mystery" . It helped them to reflect on the nature of life and death, and the nature of reality, and the role of humans in the cosmos. It made them accept the death of their loved ones, through rituals. There is a dark side of human beings, which enables humans to be very cruel towards each other. To start wars, plan genocides, to hate and to kill. Religion can help to compensate this dark side by helping people ot become altruistic, to love each other, to find consolation in grief. I believe religion, and God, is indispensable for human beings to remain really human.

no science extremists?
what about the scientists behind the invention of the atom bomb? they hydrogen bomb? space lasers?
That being said, it boils down to this - you think people who believe in God are close minded, people who believe in God think you are close minded. The balance here is in understanding that people think differently about things. (you claim to be of a scientific bent, so this shouldn't be hard for you). Some people need spirituality to make them feel complete, some don't.
Compassion and understanding will get you farther along than living the rant that you just spewed here. Your parents deserve your love and respect, not your ridicule and condemnation.
You are right about one thing - religion in and of itself will NEVER solve the world's problems. Religion is man made.
God's presence in this world and in his people does not rely on man made religions.
Once you begin your studies, and even if you choose not to believe in God, you should be able to see that. God is not responsible for the mess we've made of religion.... people are.
Have compassion, have understanding, study, speak truth, live love, keep an open mind, and blessings in the Lord to you.
:)
