Ummmm.... ever visit a country club? Most of them are predominantly white, and most black people have not grown up playing golf. It is very expensive and not too many courses in America's cities (within city limits). Please - I am not a racist, and did not have a country club upbringing. (In fact, I used to caddy at a private club.) But that is changing slowly as the average income in black households is going up, and deservedly so. The equipment cost is prohibitive, but that too is changing. Hopefully, we will begin to see more Black Americans hitting the big time. But most PGA players are country club kids, who grew up playing the game. Heck, my high school team was like that over 25 years ago!!
