that the Bible is a fairy-tale and creation is also, and evolution is right, why aren't you in the science section discussing this instead of insulting people who don't dis-believe like you do. We, a lot of us BELIEVE in God and the Bible. It's your right not to as is ours TO BELIEVE. Do you feel superior when you insult people? It's juvinile, rude, and rather small-minded.

I know I'm gonna get blasted for asking, but it will only show the small-mindedness and immaturity of those who blast me.
AS I SAID I DON'T MIND THE DISCUSSION, I'M JUST ASK A QUESTION OUT OF CURIOSITY.

I never said this site is for christians only, I only asked instead of bashing christians for believing, if you want to discuss evolution why not in the science section.
I said I LIKE the DISCUSSIONS.
READ THE QUESTION. NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO THINK I'M SAYING, BUT WHAT I "AM" ASKING.

REDGLORY: I asked this Q twice, similar ways, you are the ONLY one to address the question. PERIOD. Everyone else went off as if I asked something different, or I questioned my faith because of what others think. You get best answer.

You're right ~ what do they gain from trying to antagonize and irritate believers?
What does it prove?
What do they accomplish?

I don't believe in the Bible or creation. I do believe in evolution. But I'm not an Atheist. I'm a Pagan. So basically what you're saying is this area is for Christians only, when it clearly isn't. If I share similar beliefs with Atheists and I'm allowed here, then they're allowed here, too. The argument against the bible and against creation is just as much a discussion of religion and spirituality as the belief in those things is.

Yes, I do believe the bible is a fairy tale.
Yes, I do accept evolution as fact...but I'm not here asking questions about it.
Usually it's the Xian Fundies posting to try to discredit it and insult anyone who understands it. I answer to show them the error of their ways. Yes, they are mistaken when they start spouting off things about being evolved from monkeys and wondering why we don't have wings yet.
The real question is why are Christians asking about evolution here, and not in the science section. It makes no sense, and is rude and small minded. I have to wonder if they're afraid they'd look foolish in front of scientists (Which they would), and are depending on the back up and support of other uneducated Fundies who don't understand Evolution either. They wouldn't get that support if they left R&S.

You're right, I don't agree with the Christian beliefs, but I am here because I am interested on gaining insight about all religions and other spiritual topics. I try my best to refrain from insults, I think sometimes my sarcasm comes off as rude.
Remember, Christianity is not the only religion. Just because someone doesn't believe in God and the Bible, does not mean they aren't religious.

It's juvinile, rude, and rather small-minded. <<< And that, my dear, is a bit judgemental... not to mention poorly spelled... What does your god teach about judging others? And, why such a hard time following that command??
See, if we are going to stop the spread of lies from you people ABOUT SCIENCE, we have to fight you on the front lines, here in the R&S section.
Oh yeah: "I know I'm gonna get blasted for asking, but it will only show the small-mindedness and immaturity of those who blast me." Some more judgemental attitude anyone? Who is the small minded one here, dearie?

Do you feel superior now? You have no idea what motivates people so get of your prejudiced high-horse.
I, like many others, am forced to answer q's here because of the disgusting irresponsible aggressive insulting dangerous lies a lot of fundies spread about science here. You can believe what you like. If you don't lie about science, you won't be challenged.

Because this is not the Christian section it is the Religion & Spirituality section and therefore is here to discuss all aspects of Religion & Spirituality.
If you want a section just for Chritians the ask Yahoo for one.
By the way Chritians keep coming into the Science and mathamatics section. Should I kick them out because they insulting me there?

Well, the reason they can't discuss it scientifically is because science doesn't support evolution. There are a bunch of dedicated evolutionists calling themselves scientists that try real hard to make it convincing though. I have yet to see a debate between evolution and creation where evolution comes out as anywhere near convincing. And just like with liberalism, some resort to personal attacks because they can't deal with the issues.
Don't worry about it. Know that when they resort to that it is because they know they have lost the arguement.

I mean this with no disrespect whatsoever, and in the nicest possible way, but you are a pompous, arrogant, simple-minded lemming who can't understand why such nice God-inspired insults will get you lambasted!
See? Doesn't that seem just a little off to you? Do you even realize that your question contains a direct insult?
Tell you what- when Christians get out of the Tattoo section, the Gay & Lesbian section, the Women's Health section and others where their dogma is not welcome, I might think about it.
But until Yahoo renames this "Christianity", all of us are free to do what we want with our own SELF- given free will.

Do you need to be a thief or a cop to discuss law and order? No. So you don't need to be a believer to discuss religion either. You could argue that someone who is ignorant of theology is in a poor position to challenge a theological position, but to deny them the right to participate in the discussion is a little intellectually dishonest. If you believe as strongly as you do, then you shouldn't be so troubled by someone challenging your position.

Because all the talk is here. I don't want to defend the scientific end of it, but you guys make us. Atheism is the rejection of religion. That means it is ABOUT religion. So this is the place to talk about it. And this question gets asked like 50 times a day. Are you guys really that insecure that you can't take criticism?
