Yes. We need to slow down carbon dioxide emissions to slow down global warming. The difficulty is that many countries including the US are putting out more and more emissions. And, the fact is that the north and south poles are losing significant amounts of ice already. Greenland is losing ice at an even faster rate. If this continues the Atlantic Ocean conveyor could shut down. This could cause major changes in climate. Ocean levels will continue to rise. Some islands in the Pacific Ocean are predicted to go under within 10 years. The displacement of major amounts of people could start to occur. Besides reducing emissions. Controlling population growth and over consumption of resources would help. So, think about what you want the world to be like for your grandchildren. People should try to stop wasting resources and start thinking about the things they buy. I would love to see products that last way longer and cost more. So, were not tossing out stuff when it's only a year or two old. Because it takes energy to make and move products around.

No I think it is just a natural cycle as we have had global warming since the year dot. Also without some global warming we would not be able to live on the Earth.

breathing creates CO2,Mankind creates about 4% of green house gases, termites create about 30% of methane, cows about 20% of methane, these creatures and us have been on this planet for thousands and thousands of years,so why now are we the problem?I think its hype(man made at least) to make us want to give out more money to taxes etc,and feel good about ourselves......ps. I think Al Gore should have to place his carbon credits up for auction to the highest bidder, instead of buying them from himself. And as for the incandescent lightbulb, flourescents contain mercury and are mass produced in China(whom will this profit, the only country who wont be held accountable to global warming along with India, and they'll have to make more coal burning elctrical factories to mass produce them even more if the incandescent light bvulb is outlawed!) Since flourescents cost more, will poorer people have to decide between food and or light(flourescents are about $2.00) more per light bulb, and they are hazardous waste when spent.where will the money come from to dipose of the mercury they need to light up?

Global warming is a theory. We have not been studying weather for long enough to know that it is simply not a trend. The S. Pole is getting colder. That's my theory anyway.

Nope. It was still considerably cold (normal and below) this winter despite El Nino.
