I think it is fifty years overdue. How about one to Las Vegas and Sacramento?
We in California have been left in the dark ages as far as mass transit is concerned. We have the technology and the manufacturing capability to be the leader in this technology, but we still rely on the car to get around our state, albeit quite poorly.

I'd rather have a high-speed bullet train linking Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Man, if you've ever been caught on the freeway between Vegas and LA because of roadwork, an accident that closed down a lane, or just plain a lot of traffic, I'll bet you'd be in favor of a bullet train LA to Vegas. There is no feeling like being stuck out in the middle of nowhere on that stupid freeway, with traffic either dead stopped or crawling at 5 MPH. Bring on the bullet train! (And how 'bout it being subsidized by the casinos? ;-)) )

I just read about that, I think that it would be a good idea, California is a popular state, but it is running out of space for roads, so to have a high speed train would really reduce the traffic of the cities.

Ilike the idea of just having a real big water slide like they have at wet and wild.Do it in your shorts and eat at in and out burger . Think I'll sit at the forest lawn cemetary and pretend I had a girlfriend that looked like paula abdul( i'm a little old) and a milk shake from frosty freeze . Oh, we are serious. Trains belong, just outside the mainstream consciousness.

They'll NEVER build the thing. I couldn't believe that the idiots in this state voted to spend a bunch of money to "study" the idea of a train that will never get built. Fricken morons!!! Vote for a magical fantasy train and farm animal rights but take away the rights for gays to get married?!? I presonally blame Obama, to many retards that don't usually vote turned out for that one.

No point.

With the rate of growth in the "Golden State," we're only going to have two cities anyway; San Frangeles and Lake Tahamento.

Besides, if we wait long enough, LA and Frsco are only going to be inches apart.

I'm not in favor of linking San Francisco to anything but Alcatraz.

Not going to happen. The flight time of aircraft between the two cities is about one hour. The fastest bullet train could not possibly match that.
