Are you denying that ministers, rabbis, and other religious figures are molesters? What about teachers? So many of them molest children why not go ahead and label all teachers as child molesters?

I'm not saying that it didn't happen, I feel so bad for the families, but thats one of the lamest excuses there are. All the priests I've ever met have been the coolest people.

If you pay attention and relate things to your own life and CARE church may not be as boring. You have to put something in to get something out, thats how life works. When I go to church its not only a personal thing, but a community thing. Everyone gathers together to profess our faith and share in our love for God. I always feel at home in a church because I'm with my family in faith.

Church isn't required by Gov't law, but in God's law yes it is. One of the commandments is to keep the Sabbath holy, is it not? That doesn't mean sit around all day and do nothing. Things are holy when they are routed in God, the best way to route a day to God is to dedicate it to Him. Going to church gives you an opportunity to say, "Hey God, I care about you so much that even though it may be inconvenient I'm willing to get out of my house and go worship you!" Plus if you're Catholic you have the Eucharist which is super awesome!

Pray at home. Its good it helps to keep and make you holy, but its no replacement for the community pray of church. In the Catholic Church the Holy Mass is the highest prayer we have. Reading scripture, reflecting on your blessings, petitioning God; all of those are great and should be done, but you can get so much more from church.

Oh and by the way, Catholics=Christians.

some priests are child molesters -- But most Priest are men of God -- called to be His representatives and to administer the Sacraments. Most Priests are holy and they share the love of Jesus.

-church is depressing and boring -- Ususally it is fun and exiciting. It brings people together and helps them to love each other, love their neighbors and love Christ.

-- attending church is't required -- Yes it is. There are holy days of obligation and you should go to Mass each week.

-it's easier to pray at home -- You need the fellowship of other believersand the instruction of your Priest. Christianity is not a solo endeavor.

You've answered your own question as to why you shouldn't go! My Church isn't Depressing,it is not boring, church attendance is required and there are no child molesting Priests there.
You could try another denomination, one that isn't so depressing.

The home can be church because church is simply an assembly with christian purposes. Church isn't a building or a social club. It is debated whether Catholics are Christians because of their unbiblical tradition.

It may be easier to pray at home but it's also difficult to have fellowship with other Christians that way.
