Proactive is a topical treatment and will not work on many kinds of acne. You have to sort out what kind you have and why you are having this happen. You need a Doctor's help to heal your skin. For all the money you spend on fancy creams and soaps at a drugstore in one month, you could go to the Dermatologist for visit. Insurance will cover most prescriptions and if you don't have that ask your Dr., they will give you free samples. Try the message boards at Acne.org for some good advice from others who have been there or are going through your same issues. ((hug))

Why are people so nervy as to make fun of your pimples. Not helpful or nice. I don't know your age but at 44 I still struggle with occasional pimples. I see a dermatologist and recommend you do the same. They have a lot of good treatment and sometimes it is just finding the right one. I use retin A micro a couple times a week and Glytone day and night lotion daily. The acne not briefly worse before it got better. I wash with Cetaphil and use witch hazel afterword. Don't scrub or pick. Good luck.

One of the main reasons for pimples is not puberty, but impure blood. Another big one is lack of rest. If you keep your bowels clear and open you may see results. Also try buying a Queene Helene Mint Julep Masque. It's green and it's cheap but does exactly what it says it does. Before using it wash your face with glycerin soap using your hands and rinse. Apply a hot wash cloth to your face to open up the pores also then apply the masque. You can sleep with it on too. At first it may seem like th epimples are getting a little bigger but that's the masque drawing the pus out of the pimples. The masque also tightens your skin. If you get dark spots or scars after the pimples go away use Ultra Glow fading creme. These two work just great together. Oh and also drink plenty of water, preferably spring or drinking water. Hope this helps.

I know exactly how you feel babe, been there!
I tried everything, sometimes it worked for a while then those damn pimples would return sometimes it wouldn't work at all. I have stuffered from them for about 10 years then I tried Roaccutane, you would need to see a doctor for that.
I took them for 6 months. I saw results in 2 weeks exactly. Oh the good thing is that they never returned!
After that I suffered from acne scares, horrible, but that too I am getting rid of by using Fraxel Lazer treatment.
Talk to your doctor about Roaccutane pills. There are risks like you would not be allowed to get pregnent for 1 year after stopping the pills but for me it was worth it!

Proactive did not work for me either. I went to the reg Dr. to a dermatologist and went on different oral meds as well as topicals that were already mentioned and nothing helped...until I went and got laser treatments. It was an esthetician that performed the procedure in a medispa. Not cheap but it did finally work.

Neutrogena. =) try the Oil loose pimples Wash & then use the Oil loose pimples Treatement Moisturizer afterwards. try this two times an afternoon a minimum of. you additionally can get Neutrogena's on the spot therapy. I recommend employing this creme to pimples at nighttime nonetheless. a pair of different suggestion, attempt to not touch your face lots, particularly if your palms are grimy, & drink quite some water. it will help sparkling your face, alongside with your epidermis + cleanse out your physique. Oh, and alter your pillow cases often in case you employ products.

that used to be like the story of my life and i totally understand and sympathize. proactiv didnt help me either, and the annoying thing was they kept sending it to me. anyway, the best cleanser/moisturizer i've ever used (and still do) is called purpose, and it made my skin a lot better. however, sadly enough, the only thing that finally kicked my acne was going to a dermatologist. they put me on retin a micro and another cream also that i cant remember the name of, and also pills called adoxa. theyre amazing, and despite the price, i really suggest you see a dermatologist. my skin used to be basically completely red, and just disgusting, and right this second i only have two zits.

when you develop acne or pimples, your body is telling you that it is getting behind trying to get rid of waste. it has used all of the excretion methods and now must use the pours.
what to do? just help the body with a laxative. drink some prune juice or drop an ex-lax and the problem will be solved. then you can try some skin repair with, maybe, some Vaseline intensive care lotion. it comes in different strengths and it's cheap.

Go make an appt. with a dermatologist. They can reccommend topical and oral products to use. I used tetrachycline (sp?) and it helped reduce all my acne and even some of the scarring. That was combined with use of Retina and also Benzoyl Peroxide.
