I went to a movie last night, with a girl I've liked for a long time. We saw the Blades of Glory movie (hilarious!) and we walked into the concession area, both of us still cracking up and there was this beautiful moment. I just loved the way she looked all happy and laughing, so I planted a kiss on her. I've done this many times in many places, just like straight people, but this time a lady was walking by with two little boys. One of the boys pointed and said, Those girls are kissing! And all the mother said back was, "that's why they won't go to heaven"
I've had it with you people. What has to happen in order for you to get some manners?

Okay John W then why are straight people allowed to have PDAs? You people really only think about yourselves and don't care about anyone else. You make me sick.

Some Christians have wandered off the "love thy neighbor" reservation.
As far as God views sin, homosexuality is no greater or lesser than other sins. All sin is objectionable to God. Since homosexuality is often practiced openly ("in your face"), the reaction by some is over the top. It may also be the case that anyone that seems to revel in their sin seems disingenuous if they are a self-professed Christian. I believe that the true Christian homosexual struggles daily with their sinful nature.
Some resources regarding homosexuality and the bible to help you understand the reaction of others:

Ok, let's put aside the fact that this woman might not have been a Christian (however, I think she probably was)... By the way, I am a Christian, albeit an unconventional one.
Christians can feel as strongly about their beliefs as they want to, but I do not think they are truly practicing those beliefs when they point someone out and say they are not going to Heaven. These Christians obviously pick and choose the commandments of Jesus that they will follow. Jesus said: Judge not, lest ye be judged and by the same measure that ye judge others so shall your Father in Heaven judge you.
So, these folks might be "against" homosexuality, but they are NOT the authority on who goes to heaven and who doesn't. I know, I know, they will say that being gay is a "sin". (I don't believe that, but...). Even IF it's a sin, no human is to judge others in matters of who goes to heaven and who doesn't because however harshly we judge others, so shall God judge us.
By the way, not all Christians are bad-mannered. :-)

I hope you're trolling, but in case this really happened I have to agree with you it was rude of her. While she may be right (hopefully not, I would love to see you and your friend both in heaven but that might mean some BIG changes in your lives), if she felt the need to say that to her children she could have done it at home or at least so you couldn't hear it.
But I do hope this didn't even happen.

Well being gay is a sin! And no sins will enter Heaven! God made man and woman to be together. Not the same sex! Also its not natural! I don't say its a sin. Its in God's word. God says its a sin and No sins will enter Heaven! God is a forgiveing God and If you ask for His forgiveness of your sin, He will forgive. But you really have to mean it and never do that sin again. Change your lifestlye so You won't be sinning! Praying for you!

I find that most Christians are largely arrogant and rude they also tend to be close-minded and bigoted. I am sorry that happened to you, I can empathize as I have had similar dealings with fundies.

I think your already starting to see the light. otherwise you would'nt be worried about what us "christians" are saying. Get a bible and read a little. Judging from your questions and comments you have been highly disinformed.

People are entitled to their opinions. Ignore is all I can say. Be glad you live in a country where they don't hang or stone you for that kiss.
May God bless you.

If someone's homophobic, they're going to be homophobic no matter what religion or philosophy they subscribe to. People are people first and anything that challenges their ego is going to cause them to react.
I'm just thankful words were all that happened, for your sake.

Perhaps no one wants to see your public display of affection? Do what you want in private. We do not all want to be witnesses.
Autumn -- I don't care to watch hetrosexual couples in public displays of affection either. Some thing should be private. I as said, Do what you want in private.
