I did not say anything about right and wrong. To me, right and wrong are obvious, basic concepts. I do not equate right and wrong with good and evil. I wondering if other people do.

This question is open to anyone. It was originally directed at atheists because the poster that prompted it was referring to atheists.

So my question is, in your opinoin, what are good and evil? Are they the same as right and wrong?

I guess you liked my quote :-)

They aren't the same to me, obviously. Right and wrong are more clearly relative terms, but oddly enough I think they are easier to spot. Evil may or may not exist - but people know when something is wrong for them.

Good and evil I suppose are more intellectual, philosophical concepts, whereas right and wrong are more immediately judged by emotional and instinctual reaction (analysis and justification comes later). Right and wrong are more personal and more present. It's not something you muse over. It's something you feel.

I'm with you, I do not equate right and wrong with good and evil. Running a stop sign is wrong, but it isn't evil. Some people don't drink at all, for them it's wrong, but it's not evil. Right now I think eating an ice cream bar is a pretty good idea, but it has nothing to do with good/evil.

No, I think they're different entirely. Good an evil are perceptions, IMO. Not the same as right and wrong.

I usually go with virtuous and non-virtuous... I don't like those other words... LOL.
