my ex is still totally in love with me, i SO dont feel the same and i know i never will, my question is should i "take him back" and pretend to have feelings for him or is that really mean....oh and my reason for doing this is i need a second income....i know it does sound horrible....but there is no way i can make it with just my income......

If you do not have the same feelings for him as he has for you, you need to tell him that and I'm sure you could find someone else that you LOVE and he could be your second income. PLUS::: If you didn't have the same feelings for the guy you asked about and are constantly feeling that way around him, he will eventually catch on and know how you feel and then he would be even more heartbroken and he will feel like you only used him. So my advice is that you let him down easy right now------- TRUST ME YOU WILL FEEL WAY BETTER!!!

Mean? Well, we could call it a few things. For now, let's just call it the last resort.
If you need a second income and don't want to get a job, find someone looking for a long term relationship where they give financial support in exchnage for a sexual relationship without the commitment.
There are plenty of people looking for something like this so don't be shy. Go out and get your portion but try not to hurt anyone in the process.

Yes, it is mean, however, if you tell your x that you are still not in love with him and you are sorry but you just don't have the same feelings for him as he does for you. Tell him up front, and then tell him if he moves in its because you are just going to be freinds and share rent etc. If you fool around together so what but he has to know the truth before you let him move in or you may end up in a worse situation than you are now. take care HEather

so you think that by taking him back you are doing him a favor? no, the only reason you are even considering this is because of the income, even if he wasn't so crazy about you, you would do anything necessary to get back with him. so not only do i think this is mean but self fish. if you need help there are other ways you don't have to use or manipulate someone, totally unnecessary.

Bad idea, even with the second income you'll be unhappy. You have to find someone who you really like and not just settle for anything less.

Think of it in the reverse: if he didn't love you but you loved him, would you want him to take you back ONLY for your paycheck? Find another way to make ends meet without hurting him and damaging your self-respect. Life's too short to pretend! Good luck!

How would you like it if he did this to you? I think this is horrible and maybe you should get a second job instead of leading someone on that you have no intentions of building a relationship with.

This path can only lead to misery. Trading sex for security may bring security for a time, but without love on your part, it's just a form of prostitution. Legal of course, but prostitution nonetheless.
It's difficult to be independent, but it's worth it.
