If you mean a professional pilot, then a college degree is a must. Most ,if not all airlines require it. You might find an employer that does not, but your competition for the job will have one.
So...as you are not required to have a degree by the FAA, to become employable you will. As you are still in high school,
take all of the classes that prep you for college you can and get that degree, It will also serve you well in the event your aviation career does not work out for what ever reason.
The actual pilot training can be accomplished with the education you receive in High school, its not that complicated.
You can start your pilot training NOW! You can get your private at 17 years old.The private pilot certificate is the first step in becoming a pro.
I recommend you find a "ground school" in you area.
I teach one at the local community college, perhaps one is offered in your area. If not, many flight schools offer them (stay away from the 2 day weekend cram courses. It takes 80-100 hours to properly teach/learn the course!) It will cost a bit more at the flight school. There are many "home study" courses available, but I dont recommend them for the private. (many will disagree with me on this one)
Re: physical/medical requirements, no height requirements,
( if you are 400lbs, not gonna fit in the cockpit) as long as you eyesight is correctable to 20/20, you can hear, have no mental issues,
drug or alcohol "problems",
a good heart, dont have diabetes, you are good to go.
there are more , actually too many to list, but generally if in good health, you can expect to be eligible for an airman's medical certificate which is required to exercise the privileges of your pilots certificate
Good luck with your dream, study hard, keep focused, it can be done!

Wow! I'm also a 10th-grader, and I was about to sign up for a conference like yours (probably the same one), but I didn't 'cause it didn't fit in with other things.
Anyway, look for a flying school. If you don't already have it, get Microsoft Flight Simulator. That really helps a lot. It may not be exactly like the real thing, but it's great for a home computer.
A few years ago, I was talking with a pilot of a Delta B757 (AUA - JFK). I have always wanted to be a pilot (for a DAL B757, in particular), and I asked him what I had to do to become a pilot. He told me that he joined the (Air Fore, presumably) Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). He said you could either go to a flying school, or join the ROTC, and both will teach you how to fly. I wouldn't do that because I don't want to join the military, not to mention that my parents wouldn't let me.
Anyway, have a great time at the conference, and good luck with your career!

Just go to your local flight school and take lessons (flying and ground school). To get your private pilot's license you don't need any special classes other than ground school.
As far as the physical requirements go, as long as you can see over the cowling (i.e., "dashboard") you will be fine. You also need to be able to move the rudder pedals with your feet.
You didn't mention where in the US you are but if you have ground school questions, I'd be happy to help.
Good luck. Flying is wonderful!!
