Boxing has a lot to due with technique where as fighting has a lot to do with smarts.

BTW - the fact that Ali and Marciano are not on this list should be a tip off that whomever came up with it doesn't know much about boxing.

The list that you have is real inaccurate but the difference between a fighter and a boxer would be a boxer has alot of technique and uses the ring and a fighter would be someone who just stays on the inside and fights.

Fighter - Ricky Hatton
Boxer - Floyd Mayweather Jr

I know this is a quetion and it probably won't get answred but where is Ali, Hopkins, Barrera, Joe Louis, Joe Frazier, George Forman, Marciano (pardon the the spelling), Pernell Witiker, Hagler, Eric Morales, and Paqueo! The list could go one but I do not agree with yours buddy

THEY ARE THE SAME AND NOT THE SAME. WHEN U MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BOXERS USE TECHNIQUE AND FIGHTERS USE PUNCHING POWER.

ROBINSON, DURAN AND POSSIBLY CHAVEZ AND HAGLER COULD FIT IN EITHER CATEGORY. I WOULD ALSO SAY THAT LEONARD WAS A BOXER NOT A PUNCHER.
