The funny thing is that throughout history many laws had been broken.

You know why ? cause usually those who make the laws make them to protect their own interests not thinking about anyone else.

You can send a petition for a law to be approved ... that doesnt mean its going to be approved though. But even if its approved you cant call criminal a person that still does that thing is now illegal that once was legal.

According to todays immigration laws, all the people that came here from Europe back in the days would be considered illegals.

Of course you may say those were other times, but still would be stupid call them criminals because all they wanted was a better life. Every body deserves a shot in this land of opportunity.

Ask Colorado what happens when immigrants leave:

"Colo. May Put Inmates to Work on Farms"
http://asia.news.yahoo.com/070307/ap/d8nngpho0.html

We have to stop closing our eyes and face the fact that the US economy depends on cheap labor to survive. Look at how much China has grown thanks to their ridiculously low wages. The difference there is that citizens work for that kind of wages. In the US we have perfectly fit americans on welfare because they "can't survive" on minimun wage. Think about employers' choices here: a) hire americans at full price plus benefits or b) hire immigrants for 3/4 of the price without paying benefits. As an added bonus, you get workers who will not complain about anything because they have actually moved up and are doing better than in their place of origin. Its a no brainer.

And by the way. We shouldn'tput the whole blame Mexico on Mexico for having a lousy economy. If they woke up tommorrow and found that they had enough good paying jobs for their citizens we would still have a labor shortage. What would happen is that mexicans in the US would be replaced by filipino, african or any other out of work immigrant.

If our problem is the fact that they entered the country without permission then we are asking the wrong questions. Most of us have met honest, hard working, church going immigrants so why are these not being allowed in? In fact, who decides? And what would happen if we gave people in Mexico (an example) the chance to apply (over there) for a low skill/low wage job? Would businesses go for it? They say they need the wrkers right? Would they be willing to pay minimum wage, ensure safety standards and provide benefits or is the current arrangement more worthwhile? It's no wonder politicians beat around the bush (pardon the pun) without resolving anything. The only ones who want things to change are the average citizens and, suprising as it may be, most immigrants. Give them a choice about coming here with or without permision and see the results. Most immigrants didn't want to break the law, they had no choice. We haven't given them a choice. Our laws say "stay out" while our businesses spread their arms and say "come on in, it's O.K."

Apparently you believe that some people should pay an inproportionate share of taxes to cover those that aren't contributing or are here illegally. How is that fair? It is nice when they don't get caught up with other illegal activity here (but many do), but why condone illegal behavior at all. If you start allowing some illegal activity where do you draw the line? I think immigration is great, but there are rules that protect everyone.

I can't believe your okay with illegal immigrants. I liked when you said as long as they don't cause any trouble here, and start making gangs or whatever. I guess you haven't seen the problems they have caused. All you have to do is open your eyes and look around and all you see is the problem. they milk our system for everything they can get and when American goes to get the help they are turned down, they are taking jobs from Americans that will to these jobs no questioned asked, over crowding the school so schools have to build for more room and that money comes from tax payers pocket not the illegals pockets, hiring of teachers to speak the language they speak, stealing Americans SS Numbers, giving Americans bad credit, causes accidents or murder people here and gets a away with it and go back to their country so that comes out of Americans pocket too, taking homes away from Americans, illegals have more rights then i have and many Americans do for that matter even yourself and you don't even realize it. they have caused a problem as soon as they came here. it's called a law we have and illegal means just what it means. so if they can brake laws and get away with it why can't us Americans. I say send them all back close all borders and get there names finger prints etc so when they do decide to come here the right way they will be turned down and never be aloud to enter this country again, any kids that was born to the illegals will be come illegals to even the ones on the green cards etc and would have to go back too. and since we like helping other countries and stuff wht don't we show them how to run a country and make there country worth the while for them to stay. and then there country needs to be paying the United States back the money the Americans have paid for these people and i mean all the money even the cost it took to shipped them back. take from the people a percentage out of there pay etc and give back to us. Oh and might i add also make the companies and landlords pay to and the help with there debet for giving them a job and a place to stay and why we are at it if they casued any credit problems accients they would be acountable for that to. make them pay not keep taking. maybe from the answers you got on here you will see everything clear as day and see what page we are on. and if you don't have any problems with them and as for others too that don't have the problem with it. then why don't you all care for them and pay there way and let the rest of us that have a problem with them money alone and we will see how long it takes you all to see what the problem is then. plus we can't help you people thats all for it either. thats said i guess i'm done buut could go on.

They need to leave and go back to their country. Then, if they so desire to become the good american's they claim to be, they need to fill out the paperwork. And FYI, the new term (coming directly from a pro-illegal org.) is "economic refugee".. look for this on your local news station. They say that the term illegal equates them as criminals and in truth they are only breaking an "administrative law". That's bull if you ask me but thats coming directly from an email from a pro-illegal group who hasn't noticed that i'm not on their side yet.. but i can't complain, it get the inside scoop :)

Do you know what illegal means? It means breaking the law.

Many of the illegal aliens break the law by overstaying their visas...then they commit ID theft...then during this they steal things that they want not caring who has to pay for it in the end.

As it stands illegal aliens have more rights than USA citizens. And to the point the illegal aliens ARE doing all those things and more.

Ever hear about the North American Union? It is where they are trying to join Mexico, the USA, and Canada into one nation like the EU.

But they are destroying the economy, the health and education systems, lowering wages, sending billions of dollars overseas, killing over 4000 US citizens a year, filling a third of the jails, bringing in diseases, smuggling drugs and running gangs.

Poor people can't make enough money to pay enough tax to cover the $10,000 per child it cost per year to educate a child in California, for example, K-12. They are too poor. WE pay that for our poor people and for the MILLION immigrants we legally welcome each year. That is our limit because more causes our schools to be over crowded and they are failing. Our own children's education is being ruined. Look at LAUSD with 'year round' schools, teachers on 'emergency certificates' and many programs like gifted programs, languages, music and PE cut for our own children to fund ESL target programs for children who would not be here if their parents hadn't come illegally. I went through LAUSD schools, as did my father and my grandparents. This happened with the mass illegal immigration in the last 20 years.

Similarly, hospitals are closing unable to serve our own poor because they cannot carry the huge number of those who shouldn't be here at all to take birth and other services.

Our wages in construction, meat packing and other one time middle class jobs have dropped harming our own workers in those fields.

Their better life is at our expense, and at the expense of our children's future.
