Try using head and shoulders or selsum blue, it dries the sculp of the hair, in consequense with a couple of washes you'll get your hair less oily. Also try to wash it less everytime, I mean if you wash it everyday, try to wash it 1 every 2 days for 2 weeks, then 1 every 3 days for 2 more weeks, and you'll see how your hair changes! It used to happen to me! Ahh...don't put the conditioner in the sculp, that won't help

First, buy a salon shampoo. I know they are more expensive, but it really can be worth it. I buy Avenda products, but most are just as good. (The more commercial a product is, the more likely it is to be alkaline based. This actually strips your hair of its natural moisture, causing your scalp to overproduce.)
Second, don't wash your hair every day. This may seem counter-productive, but when you massage your scalp during shampooing and conditioning, you stimulate the oils in your scalp. The result is oilier hair.
Third, when you shampoo, massage it into the scalp, then rub the resulting suds into the length. Conditioner should never be applied directly to the scalp. It is designed to moisten and fatten the shaft of the hair. Massage small amounts in any length past your neck. Too much conditioner is a common cause as well.
Fourth, the more you style your hair, (or stimulate your scalp) the oilier it will get. If you style a lot, give your hair a rest.
Finally, if you can afford it, see a professional stylist (think salon, not Supercuts). Explain your issue and ask for their assistance. They are paid on product sales, so be cautious about attempts to load you up on stuff. (Remember, the more you stimulate your scalp, the more oil you produce.) HOWEVER, do not be startled or too skeptical if they suggest oil for your hair. I am not entirely certain how it works, but the oil I add to the length of my hair before washing helps keep it shiny and healthy, but does not make my hair oilier. (Go figure :) Other than that, Shampoo and conditioner is all you should really need. A single treatment of something may be good, but hair does not require tons of products to be healthy.
Good Luck

Wow! Perfect question for me! I have just resolved this problem for myself two weeks ago. The only hair products that I use are from the Aussie line. Buy some of the shamboo from them and rub it into your scalp and leave it on for about five minutes. Rinse it and repeat. Rinse and rub in some Aussie conditioner. Rinse the conditioner out with COLD water. Make sure you blow dry your hair after and make sure it isn't wet at all. When you go to sleep, put your hair in a ponytail on top.

When you shampoo your hair do it twice. Go get some seabreeze and use it once a week. Just comb it through and make sure it hits your scalp. Be careful not to get the seabreeze in your eyes. To make the seabreeze less runny use it over a cream rinse. Something very light. Use something made by finesse as far as the cream rinse.

Wash it once a day, not any more than that or it will cause your oil producing glands to over produce it, and not less than every other day because that's pretty nasty.
Try sprinkling a little baby powder over your clean, dry roots and massage it in - it soaks up the oil making your hair look sooo much better. Good luck!

Mine is too and it won't hold a style because of it and the wind totally screws it up if it even had a remote style to begin with and hairspray won't even hold it but for about 10 minutes. If you find out the answer to this and anything that works, let me know bongrong1@yahoo.com

You could try to wash it a couple of times a week in dawn dishwashing liquid. That will cut the grease, but it's a little to harsh to use daily.
Best of Luck!
