Dog Sneeze, yes, I expect all kinds of answers. There is a question there. Exactly how hard would it be?

Sweetness, remember how I said to learn about it before you speak? It would have helped you.

You highlight one of the most aggravating things about trying to have a meaningful dialog with a Christian. Why do they so stubbornly insist on flaunting their unbelievable ignorance? You'd think they'd appreciate how very little they actually understand about science and keep their obvious ignorance to themselves. Unfortunately, most of them seem to think it's their Christian duty to continually remind the rest of us of their "stupid and proud of it" arrogance. Today's Christians live in a world powered by science and technology and yet they have nothing but scorn for the hardworking scientists and engineers whose rigorous mental discipline makes modern life possible. Then, after wallowing in all the benefits of modern civilization, today's Christians have the unmitigated gall to insist that their silly God made it all possible.

The question of whether some progenitor of a current species continues to exist has nothing to do with evolution; there may be niches in the ecosystem for both, especially if there arises a separation of populations. But it would be much more common for a superior descendant species to supplant its progenitors.

we evolved it's in biology, most christians are thinking of mutation and not evolution, but once again, we were not magically put here on earth by some supreme being, seriously nothing got here by magic. Evolution people.

Hi there! Can't speak to this specific thing, but I would love to discuss evolution, its postulates and its logical consequences with you. Feel free to pose a serious question and I will do my utmost to provide a cogent, well thought out rational answer.

S'good, innit?

The Coelacanth may or may not have very different, very distant, offspring even though one branch of the lineage has remained little changed, and still exists (which came as a shock, back in 1938).

According to the Christian view, god made the Candiru fish. The Candiru fish still exists. But people didn't evolve from the Candiru fish. People evolved from primates that are now extinct. A Candiru fish is not a primate. It's the fish that gets stuck in your ***** if you pee in the Amazon river (I AM NOT KIDDING!).

"Why the yelling?"

Frustration. Pure and simply.

You're right, Phoenix. These questions wouldn't annoy me so much if it wasn't for the fact that they're written with a second grade understanding of basic science.

seriously it takes allot of faith to believe the evolutionary theory. Darwin was nuts and so are the people who believe in his theory.
If evolution is so real why aren't we changing now? Put that in your cup and drink it.

There's a bit of reading material for them. Perhaps they'll actually read a bit of it instead of buying into propoganda sites like answersingenesis, drdino.com, etc.
