How many of you did not have a boyfriend or girlfriend in middle school and high school? What did people say about you? Did you end up finding someone? Does it matter how many relationships you have had in the past to determine if you are going to get married or not?

No I didnt at all and I think that it really was good for me. I dont think that I was mature enough and I dont think I had a strong enough sense of self at that point. It was good for me to have those years alone to develop my interests and personality without worrying about impressing a guy or doing things he liked. From that I became a much more secure and strong person who is less likely to get stuck in unsatifying relationships and I know my value so I am less likely to just settle for anyone - many people I know from high school who needed boyfriends now find it difficult to be single and secure without a man. I'd advise intelligent young people to consider doing the same.

The last thing you should care about is what other people think !!!! Relationships vary greatly for everyone. There is no cookie cutter relationship. They all take work at any age. My history - One girlfriend in middle school - Then I discovered girls and they discovered me, High school between 40-50 relationships, some for a couple of hours some for a couple of years. - dated extensively through college and career and then got married at the age of 42. My wife and I have been together for 6 years and I could not have asked for more.

You just need one or two in middle school and then 5 or 6 in high school and a hand full in college and one or two in graduate school and then a few more on the job and then you will get married and settle down.

I didn't get my first kiss till I graduated from high school... I started dating around age 18 and never regretted waiting. It actually makes you more special to have your first "boyfriend" when you are older, the guys love an "innocent" girl.

I'm married now, and pregnant with our first kid. No I didn't "wait" till I was married and my "first time" wasn't with the man I married. I'm not a prude or religious, but I respected myself enough to keep my head in the books instead of the clouds.

Also probably didn't help that I was a darn ugly kid. Haha.

I had my first real relationship when I was in the 11th grade. I think it does matter how many guys you been with because no man wants to marry a girl that's been around the block a few times more then the average girl.

I didn't date until highschool. I learned alot from other peoples relationships, i took mine seriously and dated long term. I am hoping to one day get married, but i have to focus on completing college first. I don't think it matters how long you date, or if you date. When you love someone you love someone. And marriage will follow when both parties agree and the timing is right!

HIGH SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS ARE DUMB...

THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE THAT YOU SEE EVERYDAY...

YOU WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN ....

I SAW MY HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS 1 TIME IN THE LAST 10 YEARS...

THAT SHOULD TELL YA SOMETHING...AND IT ISN'T BECAUSE WE'RE NOT GOOD FRIENDS...

LIFE HAPPENS...

DATING IN HIGH SCHOOL IS NOTHING MORE THAN HAVING A FUN TIME...PROVIDED YOU HAVE A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY...AS IN..DON'T GET PREGNANT...AND DON'T GET THE GIRL PREGNANT...

OTHERWISE...ENJOY YOURSELF...IT ACTUALLY MAY PROVE AS SOME EXPERIENCE IN HANDLING RELATIONSHIPS...BUT USUALLY YOU ARE SO IMMATURE AT THAT AGE...THAT WHEN YOU ARE OLDER YOU WILL LAUGH AT THOSE DECISIONS BECAUSE YOU WOULD NEVER MAKE THOSE DECISIONS AT ANY OTHER TIME IN YOUR LIFE..

GET YOUR SCHOOL WORK DONE...GET THE IMPORTANT STUFF PRIORITIZED...THEN WORRY ABOUT THE GUY...EVERYTHING WILL FALL INTO PLACE..

I had one half way through highschool that lasted for a bit over a year. Nobody said anything about it because there's no reason to. Doubt anyone even cared but me and her. We did it, many many many times. Learned a lot. Had absolutely nothing to do with marriage.

But it is certainly a good thing to get some experience before considering marriage. Otherwise you have yourself one huge regret. And regret is the worst.
