Is this even supposed to be for a greater good?

Those ultimately bound for glory get a good taste of what the best schemes of demons and men can produce and see their ultimate failure. Heaven can only be eternal bliss if there are no regrets or wondering what else might have been or longing for personal autonomy. God has permitted that mistaken path to be tread and we are playing it out now. Those perishing love it and are optimistic that we can make a beautiful city of man.

Imagine a teacher (we'll say Calculus 101) who is challenged by a student who claims to be able to teach better than him. If the teacher dismisses the student from class, might the other students begin to wonder if he was right?
If, on the other hand, the teacher allows the rebellious student ample time to attempt to prove his case (and in effect fall unmistakably on his face), there will be no question at the end as to whose method of instruction is superior.

By allowing Satan these past 6000 years over humankind, God has effectively demonstrated that no form of govt is as useful or beneficial to humans as His own. At no point in the future should anyone have a basis for questioning God's Sovereignty (His given right to rule His creation).

Our trials are great opportunities. Too often we look on them as great obstacles.

It would be an inspiration of unspeakable power if each of us would recognize every difficult situation as one of God's chosen ways of proving His love and power to us; and if, instead of expecting defeat, we should begin to look around for the messages of His glorious manifestations. Then indeed every mountain would become a path of ascension and a scene of transfiguration.

If we will look upon the past, many of us will find that the very time our heavenly Father has given us the richest blessings has been the time when we were strained and shut in on every side. God's jewels are often sent to us in unexpected packages and by dark servants, but within we find the very treasures of the King's palace.

The brilliance of gold twice refined, then crafted into exquisite jewelry, it's breathtaking indeed. But from the comfort of the jewelry store, no one recalls the heat and pressure, stamping and shaping at the hand of the goldsmith that made it possible.

Christians, are you living the crucible? Then take heart! Something beautiful is about to happen at the hands of your Creator.

Look around the globe.
See who makes the decision as to who, where and when will wars begin and end.
Look who have the influence and the power to make people live in fear and guilt over some sin they have no recollection of.
Look who can justify the richness obtained from lusts, gambling and deceptions.
Look at the leaders who promise to serve the people they plunder. Have you seen a public servant without luxurious cars, mansions and getaway holidays spending their own money?
Needless to say more who benefits from Satan's rule.

God creates the temptation of the tree of knowledge in Eden.

God creates man without concept of right and wrong, thereby having no way of understanding how important it was to not eat of the tree.

God allows satan full authority over earth, allowing him to manipulate humans and pull them away from god.

God chooses not to prove or provide real evidence for his existence or authenticity.

Sounds like a set up.

Ah....but the story was written thousands of years ago, by bronze age goat herders in the desert.......from that vantage point....when they were the only chosen people....it was for justification of their war crimes, and to glorify their tribal history. Which would you rather be known as....the chosen people of the only god.....or a wandering bunch of murdering, lustful, cruel nomads? There had to be a scapegoat.....funny though...from reading the texts of the bible it is hard to tell if it is god or satan.

certainly, devil fell. yet, as people we've a unfastened decision. Ever on account that people have been created devil has been around to tempt us. it truly is unfastened decision. a million. God permit devil tempt Adam & Eve by using fact God made us with unfastened will. devil is permit unfastened, until eventually after questions 5. Then he's thrown into hell continuously. 2. devil do no longer rule the international. He "entices" the international to stick to him. 3. by using fact we've unfastened will 4. by using fact Jesus has capability over devil (as does God & the Holy Spirit) 5. specific, for the period of a million,000 guy is authorized to proceed "favourite" existence. Then devil is permit unfastened to tempt one greater time. God must be certain basically his real people will stay continuously with Him. specific God is often occurring with of who'll stay with Him and not, yet unfastened-Will is the main international. God has to "stick to His weapons" He has to permit humantity proceed by ability of itself.

man is blessed with a precious gift, the gift of salvation, and to make himself worthy in His eyes, all he has to do is rise above himself. and what better to bring the best in people out than a situation where one is confronted with strife, difficulty or evil.

so he gave us sorrow and pain...
